My late husband was L.J. Root -- just initials no other names.

What is your Mom's name -- did she live here in town?

My drug coverage is thru Coventry - costs me $39./mo.

Have a good friday,
Hugs,
Pat

Hey Annette,

Glad to see you're doing better with the cold, but this insurance thing stinks!  Hope you get it cleared out soon.  My gosh, the thought of all that $$ is enough to send anyone into orbit.

Let us know how things shake out.

Hugs to ya!

Susan

Annette, I am with Pat and medicare becomes your primary and BC/BS is your secondary. But then they should have all known that. With that being said I am going to end with the statement that if there is money owed the office that has to reimburse it should be doing it out of their own pockets since they should have known that. But then again BC/BS should have known it before now too. You should not be held responsible for any of the money that might be due from this glitch.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Awww, Nettie, so sorry to hear that you are going through the nightmare of dealing with the "Insurance gods" as I refer to them.  This country really needs to find a way to make it so every single citizen of it has benefits that can be counted on and not just when the insurance company deems it necessary.  I got stuck for a $900 imaging bill one time and was told they did not see the necessity of it.  I told them since I am a simple lay person and not a doctor, that if my medical doctor sends me for a test, I do what I am asked and how am I supposed to make such determinations and be held accountable and why should I be paying for insurance if they get to decide what the doctor already has. . .  Of course, I did not win the argument and the doctor shared the expense of the procedure with me, which all things considered was a nice thing he did.

Anyway, I sincerely hope it all comes out in your favor and I can understand how frustrating it could be and why you might resort to potty mouth, when it comes to finances I will fight like a pit bull for what I perceive to be the right thing.

Hugs, lil Sis

Aloha dear heart........Omigod! These kinds of "mistakes" can make a sane person go bats!! I so feel for you....and can identify somewhat as I am facing some HUGE bills that "might" happen with a condo I own in Oregon......assessments in the hundreds of thousands of dollars! It scares me so much I try and not thing about it.....you know, the old "ostrich with her head in the sand" routine!

Please, please universe......make this all go away for both of us!! Sending a hug which I need, too!

Aloha nui loa,

Annette, If all else fails a call to the Dept of Insurance or  Insurance Commissioner in your state may help.  They can help sort out the mess and figure out who is responsible.  Usually if your  BC/BS plan is an employer plan and you are age 65 or when you turn age 65 Medicare becomes the primary payor and BC/BS secondary payor. However, the rules by state can be  different if you have an individually purchased health plan.

I worked in insurance for many years and I hate insurance.  Some of the plans are so bizarre and complex and not many are uniform in ther policies.

morning vera and OFF!
temps are falling back into the 30's and we are getting wind here too-thanks debbie!-our backyard is flooded and the dogs got majorly muddy feet last nite-wasn't a pretty site in the basement with michael...all is well after a good hosing off of the feet!

at work; we got sworn in yesterday-super realized he hadn't done it in january-so the three of us trekked upstairs to his office for the official swearing...also; after i finish the box of Common Pleas Court records that i am working on (today or tomorrow) i will switch tasks to the traffic ticket project that we get from an outside court-seems it is not going fast enough so 1 more on the project should help! i have worked the CPC since july so it will be a welcome break!

one of our neighbors has prostate cancer and it is effecting michael very much-this is second "friend" here in town for him- and he doesn't have many of them! and the first one died in the fall--so-this morning the fire siren goes off at 541-when i walked thru to the kitchen i see flashing lites thru the trees  in vicinity of bob's driveway-not sure if it's there but think so-anyhow- did not wake michael cuz he is already upset about other things and not wanting to add--hoping bob is alright- he is scheduled for surgery on the 23rd but has lost a ton of weight and didn't have any to lose to start with...

my super's daughter is fighting with her platelets again....

on another subject-we stopped at the new goodwilll store last nite on the way home from work-hadn't been since they reopened--anyhow i am having that body dysmorphic (sp?) issue again--i was looking at blouses and tops in the large section ( i do not like things tight !) and a gal was looking in the smalls-and she is as big as i am--made me wonder...ended up not buying anything-oh- a book--

well- work today and ?????probly need to give roxie a hair cut and both dogs need a bath!

hugs and prayers

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning Vera and everyone.
Hope everyone has a good day today.
Not much going on with me.  I guess you could say I had a little money problem also.  I started selling Mary Kay, mostly to get it at cost and to sell to some ladies at work and a few others. Not into it heavy.  Well, the other day I put an order in and used the wrong credit card to charge it.  I used my Mary Kay checking account that I deposit my money in when somebody pays me, soooo that means I did not have enough in the account.  They charged me $28.00 for insufficient funds.  Not like we didn't have 2 other accounts with plenty of money.  You'd think they would just warn me to put money in there to cover it.  And then what's really funny is I also got a letter from them saying this card had been compromised (somebody got hold of some credit card numbers illegally or something) but it has been taken care of.  I think I will charge them $28.00 for letting this happen. LOL  Anyhow, I am going in and having a talk with them.
Guess I will be more careful when I get into my wallet, guess it means I have too many cards. LOL
Well better get in there and get ready for work.  Today is my Friday, I took the day off tomorrow.

Take care,
Mickey

Mickey,

Try calling them, sometimes when we make mistakes, if it's not a regular occurrence they will reverse the charge, especially seeing as you have other accounts with plenty of money at the same banking establishment, at the very least it's worth a phone call. . .

Have a great day, Laureen
