Good Morning OFF Family,

I guess it is my turn to start the thread!! Yeah!!!  Well I guess that is one good reason to have insomnia, Boo!!

Finally, my BMI is below 50, not my BMW!! LOL Yeah!!! Now to see it under 45.  One little step at a time!

We are looking for a new mattress and are going shopping tomorrow.  Any suggestions?  My body aches all the time!

My last PCP visit she did my blood work. My Vit D is low so she thinks that is part of the problem. But darn I am taking 1200 IU a day, 400 in my mulit vit, 400 in my calcium x2, 1 in am and 1 in pm.  She wants me to add more, eat more dairy and get in the sunshine.  I asked what part of winter do you not understand.  I wonder if the tanning bed would help!  Just a little bit to warm up. Hmmm..... any other ideas?  Other than that everything else was fine.

Well, ya'll have a wonderful day. We should be in the 70's again today although it is windy like March out there!

Hugs,

Good morning OFF! Vera! I'm up too, but I just got home from work and of course can't go right to sleep!  Thanks for starting the thread.  I got my mattress at Denver Mattress, part of Furniture Row if you have those down there?  I love it.  Good luck!
Yeah, I make rounds once a week checking on the clinical folks ensuring all is ok with computer charting etc.  Tonight was the first night time one, so I got there at 10:30 and left at 12:45!  What a change from arrival to leaving!  wind is like a banshee and blowing limbs down and my small car felt the wind too!  I'm having a cup of chai (Of course) and hitting the hay (it is decaf!)  Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning Vera et al.

We have a pillowtop mattress.  I like it, except you can't flip it since it is only pillowtop on one side.

Not much going on on my side of the world.  See ya later.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Eileen ~ your call was very much appreciated.

I received a call from one of my doctors that BC/BS had notified them that they were taking back ALL payments made on my behalf. HUH? BC/BS told them that they were NOT my primary providers. Strange, they have taken our $$ with no problems for the past 20+ years. The doctors office suggested I call BC/BS, which I did.

For the next 2 1/2 hours I was switched from one person to the next, even called Medicare for input, with no answers. Nobody seems to know who has been or will be my primary insurance provider. Not one person could answer what will happen with payments made to my medical providers or if I will end up owing mega $$$'s.

It got pretty ugly. All I could imagine is the HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of $$$ spent on my medical care for the past 5 years. This pushed me over the edge, I turned into a stark raving lunatic and out of control. Potty mouth doesn't begin to describe my language.

At this point, I plan to let them fight it out. The entire mess is too complicated and frustrating for me.

See why I have been quiet lately?

Kisses

Yikes, Annette!

I agree with Margo...... not sure what else to say except to send a big ol' HUG.  I hope this works out but it's sure not fair to have the stress from this.

Annette:
If you are 65 and on Medicare, then Medicare is your Primary coverage and BC/BS is secondary.....any medical facility you were in should have known that if you gave them both of your insurance cards.  I went thru something similar with my hubby, I was still working and he was NOT on my medical coverage, but they still thought my insurance should pay instead of Medicare.
It took some doing, but it eventually got straightened out.

I empathize with you about being switched around, it's just awful to be treated that way.

Praying you get this straightened out soon.

Hugs,
Pat R.

pat--michael is on medicare a & b and has anthem for his drugs and also called a "replacement"--not a "supplement" they use it first before the medicare....this anthem is only since he went on medicare b last february....

my mom has bcbs thru her retirement -and medicare-her bcbs pays first also....

guess i am just confused.......

Margo:
Medicare a & b does not pay for any drugs....you have to have Part D to get medications and it's an extra charge every month.

Your Mom needs to check that out......Medicare will always have to pay first, then BCBS...is she 65???  Is she still working??

Let me know.
