Update on George

Thank you all so very much for your prayers, good thoughts, and positive vibes.  Whatever you did, it worked!  We're home.  No idea what the problem is/was.  The cardiologist said the stress test came back normal.  He explained, as we already knew, that even with a normal stress test, it does not rule out the possibility of blockages.  All it means is that the heart is getting the flow it needs.  So, we're still at square one.  He needs to make a follow-up appt with the cardiologist.

The doctor did mention that he can tell how well George takes care of himself.  He is one in a million in that he will seek care if he feels badly.  This comes from both his parents dying very young of cancer.  Although I did hear him tell the ER nurse that he had been having pain and shortness of breath for two - three days.  Wait until he's feeling better, he's in for a real butt chewing!

I am so not use to being on this side of the hospital bed!  In 37 years, I've been to the ER or hospital at least 15 times.  Now I know how he felt all those times.

We had both cars at the hosp., he insisted he was well enough to drive himself home.  Now, he wants to go to the Hornets game in a few minutes.  I don't think it's a good idea, but I'm not about to argue with him just yet!  Honestly, I need a nap and will probably fall asleep at the game.

Thanks again for all the support.  My OFF family means the world to me.

Debbie,

You must be exhausted! Hugs to you and don't chew him out until morning. Give him a big kiss tonight though.

Glad all is well. I know you will make sure he follows up. Maybe the Hornets game is not such a bad idea ... good diversion (even if you do fall asleep). A little fun never hurts.

Glad George is home.  My husband was having chest pain one day last summer. I came home from work and he says "I think I need to go to the emergency room" and of course he had been feeling that way all day, yet waited till I got home before he does anything.  His stress test came out okay also.  Never did find out what the problem was.  They said something about acid reflux.
He's not doing anything different now. Not taking any medications.
Hope you had a good time at the game.

oh Debbie! What an awful scare! Im so happy to hear that George is much better.  I didnt know because once again, my phone service was down....

We has something similar a few years back...it turned out to be some kind of virus around JBs heart, they said..but I was amazed that he actually asked Derek to call me to come home...and take him to emerg.

Now you take care of YOURSELF too *hugs*

Debbie, give George an extra big hug for the next few days. Things like this just show us that it can be gone in an instant and then we have a lifetime to remember the things that we should have, would have and could have. I am giving Bill an extra big hug now.

I am so glad that things worked out well and you can now just take a deep breath and continue to breathe. You called on your warriors and we answered. But then again I must admit that God had something to do with it too. : )

Give yourself and George a big hug from us.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
