morning margo and OFF family...well its a chilly morning here in willoughby ohio....35 wind chill 30 warmed up since i took rick to work...was 26....LOTS of frost on the car windows!!! WOW!!! they say we could see 60's this week tho and i can't wait!! but then they are also calling for snow again on thursday!!!!! saw a couple dozen robins the other morning when i took bandit outside...never saw so many at one time....do they stay here year round or what?? maybe spring is really close??? i sure hope so!!!

worked all weekend...stayed over yesterday because one of the guys called in and several of us had to rearrange our schedule so his job was covered....we all know he went to a party the night before...even tho he left work saturday night at 8 saying he didn't feel good...funny how when he was walking out he was grinning ear to ear....couldn't stay the last hour to go....so it had to be a party....

rick made spaghetti for our dinner yesterday. while i was at work i thought i would pick up a bottle of wine to go with our dinner...well that thought ended soon enough....in walked rick and his mom....stopped by to chat with me for a minute...long enough for his mom to tell me ricks spaghetti tasted really good....guess who ate without me...yuppers....rick with his mom....then i got busy and they left...got a call on cell from rick telling me to stop over at bob's because thats where they were at...sooooo had to stop over there say hello to all and then finally left there about 6. came home took bandit outside...rick warmed up MY dinner and gave me my plate of food...did he eat anything with me?? NOPE he ate with his mom!! glad i didn't spend money on the wine now!!!! the spaghetti was good but would have been better if it was shared at the same time by us both....and i didn't get sick on it either!!! yippeee  why do i feel like i do towards him spending time with his mom???? am i jealous??? maybe....all i know is i am in a depression i think and hate myself and everyone around me....

well enough of my doom and gloom....

happy birthday to those that had birthdays over the weekend and i missed posting to you....hope you all had a good one!!!

Good Morning Margo and everyone.......

I had a quiet and relaxing weekend. Dwayne and I decided to not go out  Friday and Saturday night. We stayed home and watched movies and talked a lot. It was all good. He knows how stressed I am right now. It felt good to get it all out. We laughed ...we cried.

Of all things.....Kyleigh (granddaughter) got a letter from her father. You have to understand that she never hears from him and  he hasn't seen her since she was a small child. Jeff is in prison. He was a big Meth head....made it...sold it...used it for many years. He got hooked on it when he was in the Army in Saudi. He was on the front lines for over a year. It was bad. He was so messed up!!  He really went downhill fast...lost everything and everyone in his life. The letter he wrote was quiet touching....I hope he follows through and becomes a dad to Kyleigh once again. Kyleigh not having a dad that cares has been a constant issue with her. Lately it has gotten even worse. She has felt so rejected and unloved by her dad. Everything stems from that rejection. Kyleigh called me after she got the letter. She said she wasn't sure how she felt....happy but unsure. She said..."grandma,he even asked me my favorite color and everything!". I pray he doesn't let her down. Hearing from him might just help turn things around for her....so we pray!! Could this be the miracle we have been praying for???

The drywall guys are back again to texture the walls. Hopefully that won't be quite as bad as the sanding was!!!

My work load is light. I am not able to put any new clients on as there is a freeze right now. I am just following up on the clients I have. Kind of boring actually...I prefer to stay busy.

Thanks for letting me ramble on..........

Special prayers to those in need....especially Linda S. right now!!!

Love and hugs....connie d

Hi Margo & OFFr's,

Been a while since I posted on here, lots going on in my life, but then again, there seems to always be something going on. . .  Going back to work 5 days a week, along with my son and his family's return from Germany, my home being renovated, my dog getting old and causing some problems lately has kept me from actively participating here with all my fine OFF friends, but I have not gone anywhere and I actually spoke to lovely Lora for a little while on Saturday while I was on my way home from the WLS support group leader gig I do once a month, which I have to say is truly a wonderful thing to be a part of, anyway, I just wanted to let you all know I am here and that life is mostly good, there are a few changes going on that I don't know where they will lead, but I believe most everything that happens, happens with the outcome that is meant and I will be ok, no matter the outcome, that does not mean I do it gracefully or happily, just that when all is said and done, I can come to a place of acceptance and look back later to say, you know that was probably the best thing that could have happened to me. . .  What I do know is if I weighed 254 lbs. like I used to, I'd not have the energy to do anything and would be very depressed about this time of the year, though I've had moments of the winter blues, I'm not sitting still long enough for them to settle in and overcome me, this is a good thing.

Today I ache all over from the painting of the new rooms in my house yesterday, had 3 g/f's come over and we spent the entire day priming and painting and the colors look really awesome, neutrals, but they play nicely off one another in the light and these two new rooms will be well lit.  I am excited because I think by mid-March at the latest it will be done, this weekend I will shop for furniture for the new sunroom/sitting parlor, but once this part is done, then comes the next phase which will be adding the new bathroom, but at least that won't dust up my kitchen and living room the way this project has.  Well I am at work, so I'd better get some work done.

Wishing all of you who have had birthday's lately, a Happy Belated Birthday!

Positive vibes, prayers and hugs, Laureen

Good morning.  I am craving my Kona coffee, but I'm fasting for blood work today at 1:30 pm.  My daughter is coming over.  She has a Dr. appt. and I have blood work to have done.  We will stop and get something to eat afterwards, but I have no clue what at this time.  We usually share a meal as she has had RNY also.  We will then go shopping for awhile and get a lot of walking in. All is good in my world, except I'm hungry:)

Good morning all,

Thought I'd pop in for a quick note before I jump back on the Monday Express Train around here!  Our daughter had an appt to have a tooth pulled this am but since it was broken below the gum line  her dentist sent her to an oral surgeon.  Good thing Earl was able to go with her, in case they have to use something and she can't drive afterwards.  At least this morning she was able to take Cheyanne to school so Earl & I got to sleep in til 7, what a treat!  I have Sami here now and will take her to school before too long.

We found a newer car for Jen on Saturday, a good deal with an extended warranty, so will go on Wed to take care of the financing.  The Finance guy we like will be there then.

I did really well with my food this weekend, considering it was my birthday and we ate out alot.  Sat. for lunch I had a Salad with grilled chicken and F/F dressing. Sat night we went to Lonestar, I ordered grilled salmon and steak, but I was still full from lunch so I ate my dinner salad there and brought the rest all home.  Instead of a cake for my b-day, they ordered a Brownie Ice Cream thing at LoneStar and brought 6 spoons so we all got a taste!  it was heavenly, but a couple bites was enough.  Yesterday we were on the road alot, went to Wisconsin to see my mom, so we had Wendy's Chili for lunch and on the way home stopped by Earl's sister.  Dinner was some of the leftover salmon and I still have some of that and the steak for dinner tonight!  Woohoo no cooking 3 days in a row!!

I want to thank you all again for the lovely birthday wishes. All the notes and calls really meant alot to me.

Hugs to you all, Paulette

PS, I talked to Eileen she is having computer problems. Can't get onto the internet from home.

Good. morn,,opps afternoon,
The morning has just flown by. Liz had a lab apptment so she stopped up with the baby and I was able to show him off. We had the church shower for them yesterday, it went so well, we had lots of fun and they received such nice thoughtful gifts. I worked sooo hard  but it was well worth it. I drug everything home last night and just plopped it in the kitchen so I have lots more work to do, but it will get done. Saturday night my mom called and she sounded very odd, slow slurry speech, she said she had had a seizure and spilled her dinner all over herself. I told her I would be right there. She said NO, she was going to take an aspirin and go to sleep. I gave her 2 hours and went up there. My mind was all over the place. She has a DNR ( do not resecitate order) and she means it, so I was thinking what would I do if I found her like in a coma, call the ambulance or just sit and hold her? I was really a mess by the time I got there.  But all was well, she said she felt better, she looked good and sounded good, so I stayed for an hour and she went to bed. Yesterday she went to church with me and the baby shower and was good. Sometimes this sandwich generation thing really sucks, if one side isn't making your hair grey the other one is. We are getting rain rain rain,, I love it..Blessings

Hi Margo and Friends!  It's a beautiful 70 degree day here.  Slightly cloudy off and on, but really nice.  Major problems this morning coming to work.  The usual 20 - 25 minute trip took an hour and 20 minutes because of a three-car pile up on the bridge.  I am never late, I hate to be late, I'd rather be an hour early than 10 minutes late!  I did call work to let them know.  By then others who were running late because of the mess had called, so my coworker answered the phone, "Yes, I know, I was in it a few minutes ago!".  What a way to start the week.  Support group tonight, may or may not go.  I just want to go home and crash!  Tomorrow is our monthly church dinner - gumbo on the menu.  Wed. we have a Hornet's game.  You know, some weeks are hectic, and other weeks, we sit and watch each other grow old.

Have a great evening, Debbie
