Linda,

It's so good to have you back!

I visited Mom yesterday.  She kept saying that she wanted to go "downstairs to the infirmary" (maybe she thought she was back in college?) and was so frustrated that no one would take her there.  The nurse said, "We don't have a downstairs" and Mom plainly thought she was lying.  I tried to distract Mom with stories about the dogs, but every few minutes she would ask, "When am I going to the infirmary?"

B: chocolate marshmallow protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: ham, cauliflower & apple salad
S: olive cheese spread w/ AkMak crackers
D: steak, oven turnip fries
S: chocolate protein bar

Good morning to you, Linda. It is so good to see your beautiful smiling face this morning. It has been missed. And so have you!

Just another day here with the exception of the blizzard and the urologists appointment for this afternoon. Just another winter day in Indiana!

Food for today is going to somewhat simple for today because of the doctor's appointment at 1. That is if I get to it. I might have to cancel it and it wouldn't be the first time that happened in the winter.

B: sf oatmeal with 1/4 cup sunflower kernels
S: banana
L: deli turkey and cheese
S: applesauce
D: for the life of me I can't remember what I was making but I hope I remember!
S: sf pudding

I sure hope that I remember what is for dinner. I hate it when my mind goes blank! But I should be use to it since it happens all the time.

Have a wonderful day today and again, it is so good to see you back and being our little Linda. I am sending love and warm hugs to you along with prayers. I am never out of any of those things.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hello, Linda and family!

I stayed up late last night on "snow watch" for my son so he could actually sleep w/ having to get up once an hour...he has been under alot of stress lately due to the constant snowing and icing and his snow plowing business equipment having breakdowns so Im trying to at least assist by doing "snow watch"...plazas have to be cleared before the businesses open and he also has several clients undergoing chemoo or with heart issues and several doctors too, all needing to be able to get out their driveways ASAP...so the responsibility is heavy on him.

Anyway, I was up until 3 am ..then I went to bed..couldnt keep my eyes open and there was not a snowflake in the sky...til 6 am...then he had to hurry since the weather forecast had not predicted ANY storm at all.  Of course that means no staff available at this late time so his father went out with him to shovel salt & sand. Which, of course, is a source of concern for me too, since JB is 65.

Today I stayed home,a quiet relaxing day actually, sorted a whole box of paperwork, checked in on Mother, vacuumed the house, got a pot roast cooking in the crockpot, and worked on my mandala books.

This is Rufus's agenda today:

B   low-fat cottage cheese & unsweetened pineapple

S   3 multigrain crackers & cheddar

L    home made chicken & barley soup

S    tangerine

D    pot roast &  green beans

S    3 multigrain crackers & cheddar
