Hey Everyone

Well do you know where your scale is?  If so, then you didn't hide it very well.  If you decided once and for all not to be a slave to your scale and join the
Scale Hell Challenge get someone to hide that puppy NOW  If you think you will  lose your mind trying it for the entire month then do it for 2 weeks or just one....

I don't have a clue where mine is and don't want to know...  Come on, you can do it

One day at a time my friends

Take care,
Kathy

Aloha Kathy.....Wow, I admire your determination. I'm afraid I am a scale junkie and have been since day one after RNY. I weigh every morning and on two different scales. For me, it keeps me on track....knowing whether I'm losing or gaining too much, and I can adjust my intake accordingly.

This is one of those areas where we are very individual and I feel each person's choice is perfectly reasonable. Personally though, I could NOT go a day without weighing (unless I'm in Calif. like I was for two weeks...didn't think about scale but knew I was losing).

Good luck to you as this seems very important to you.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Aloha Karen,

Send sun shine please    We are really getting tired of winter here in the Midwest

The scale can be a positive tool for most members like yourself.  The reason I started this challenge was due to the emails I was getting.  I had one member email me and said she was so upset.  She was weighing after every meal and didn't understand why it would go up several pounds during the day.  That is just insane.  Others would be eating all the right things and exercising and due to body issues would freak when the scale would go up and then start binging.

I am hoping that they will stay away from the scale long enough and use other means of success.  Like, how they feel, look, how their clothes fit and using measurements long enough to break the negative cycle of using that number on the box as the only way to measure success.

We shall see if it helps.

Take care and keep up the awesome job you are doing!!!

Kathy

My DH hid the scale at my request and I have no idea where it is. My goal was to not weigh until my next dr appointment which was 5 weeks away. At first it really bothered me but now i am getting used to it. Not even thinking about weight. I do know that I have dropped a pant size. Now that is progress.

Uh No I will not get rid of my scale. It keeps me on the up and up. Right now I need the scale so I dont loose anymore weight. Ihave no taste buds and I cant taste anything and I cant eat I dont want to eat so makes it difficult for me.
I have to weight everyday and force myself to eat.
