What Are We Eating and What's Eating Us- MONDAY!

Good morning, family!

The temperature is rising and we actually have some meltdown...Derek is busy all night plowing the melty slush away  before it re-freezes and salt/sanding the areas to prevent "slip & falls".   I have a decorative brick working well in the side yard and it is completely covered yet with snow...over four feet high, this snow. Is it Spring yet???

I am home for most of the day but will attend my "Mind for Success" group in the evening.  My Mandala books should arrive today and I have to spend some time at the printers to get my colour covers done as well.

Again, I find myself sleepy alot... and have been taking naps during the day.  My family doctor is away so I will see him when he gets back, to see the results of my bloodwork.  However, I have to wonder if this is my primitive instinct to hibernate instead *s*.

This is what I have planned fpor Rufus today:

B   Matrix hot choclate w/ skim milk

S   3 protein balls

L   home made "cream of tomato " soup

S  3 protein balls

D  dinner salad w/ romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, raisins, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, cubed cold cooked turkey and LIGHT poppyseed dressing

S   tangerine

That's my plan and I intend to stick to it!

Good morning to you Nancy and Rufus. I hope that today goes just as you have planned with no interruptions in it.

Harpo is not happy at all. He has been rebelling all day Sunday and I think that Monday is not going to be any different. He is madder than an old wet hen as the saying goes. I am in the bathroom more than out so that is why I am sitting here at 12:45 in the morning. I have tired to sleep for 2 hours and finally gave up when I was up and in the bathroom every 10 minutes. I know........tmi. But I am in living h3ll right now. My stomach hurts so much I can hardly stand up straight. And my hernia is not happy either! That is what I am watching right now. If it gets worse or doesn't get better I am going to be back at the wls doctor.

I am not planning anything for food today. I think that if there is anything it is going to be very bland. I think that would suit Harpo fine for today.

I am sending hugs and prayers for you today. I hope that a lot of things happen to make you want to smile.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

jeane are you packing some protein snacks  in case? i found, especially early out, that i needed to carry along safe foods "in case" to events..even if they never leave your suitcase it's good to know you have them! ...enjoy your time away and with hubby.....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi, there,

I know it is not the brightest thing in the world, but I have never gotten in the habit of bringing protein snacks, and I really need to.

I think I did OK at the retreat (passed up lemon merique pie)  but will find out on the scale in the morning.

Would love you all to give me some pointers on good protein shakes to keep on hand.

blessings,

Jeane

Hi sweet Linda!

It is so wonderful to see you back posting and sounding so much better!  If you have started back to work, please be sure to take it easy and be good to yourself.

The retreat  was nice,, in a part of Virginia that got 4 inches of snow last night and had a scenic view of the mountains.  BEAUTIFUL    Just wanted to stay much longer.
