Connie,
It was a great game. I was getting a little nervous near the end, though we lost it. I'm glad the Steelers pulled through. I would have hated to see them leading the whole game and then lose it.
I do feel bad for the Cardinals, they got the lead and then...........ok,........that passed, now I don't feel too bad :)

It was a most excellent game!  I even watched almost the whole game and the last quarter was sitting on the edge of my seat!  I had to root for the 2 Ohio boys on the team, Big Ben and Nate Washington.
I thought the Cardinals did well too, I think all of the penalties they had hurt them big time.  Anyway, it was a good game, well played and exciting.

Mary,

I had go steelers on my myspace and face book and forgot to check in here.  lol    I have a funny about the end of the game.    We have the kitchen TV which is not hooked up to direct tv so the tv's that are on direct are on time delay.   Well we had a house full of people and  most everyone was down in the family room and some of the kids and I were upstairs and when the cardinals took off with the ball for the touch down I screamed somebody stop him!!!!!!  Well all the adults from downstairs came flying out of their chairs about knocking each other down because they thought I was screaming because someone was hurt where I was.     My sister said her heart was racing!   I of course was cracking up because they all looked like a bunch of idiots trying to beat each other up to see who was hurt.   The only person that was still sitting in his recliner with his feet up was Greg and he was laughing he said I was jus****ching the game.   lol

What made it funnier is we all knew it was on a time delay between the tv's because someone had said something earlier in the game.

Now how long have I  been complaining the my steelers hoodie is to big.  I feel a Pittsburgh trip coming soon!!

Our bedroom tv and kitchen tv is the same. Once I was watching the hockey game in the bedroom and said SCORE!  from the kitchen I heard What? then they saw the goal. It wasn't as dramatic as yours though. I bet you guys got a good laugh.
My son wanted a hoodie so I went to Dicks Sporting today and all the Super Bowl hoodies were gone. They said they would be getting shipments all during the day but they never knew what time they would arrive. I'll be checking again tomorrow.

Mary, we were having a discussion yesterday during the game, and I never did hear the answer  come up.  And quite frankly, I am being lazy and not looking it up on the internet.  How did the Rooney family get their money?  Most owners of sports franchises got their money some other way.  Just curious.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Art Rooney Sr. got his money to buy the Steelers ifrom winnings at horse racing.
And the rest is history...................
My Mom went to school at St. Peters School on the Northside of Pittsburgh with Dan Rooney his son. The family still lives on the Northside within walking distance of Heinz Field.
