LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!

Saturday night.....

Here I started the thread and didn't join in the games!!  It's been a long day and it ain't over yet...  Got up at 5 a.m. and cleaned the kitchen, $4 by 7... Ft Worth to WLS Breakfast by 9;30.... Thrift store by 10:30....back to $4 by 12:30....car serviced and home by 3:30.... washer and dryer delivered at 4:15....and at the Pinecar Derby for the Cub Scouts at 5...and just got home a little before 7.  I'm doing laundry and need to spend an hour or so hanging up clothes. Tonight while I'm hanging up clothes the roots will be turning a lovely natural red...(hee hee)...

The actual plan for the day included getting my nails done, a pedicure, getting rid of these gray roots and meeting a MAN from POF who is ...drumroll please..... FORTY-NINE... but he's turning 50 in February....  You notice I said the actual plan for the day WAS... see above the the ACTUAL day.

My thrift store finds today were two Alfred Dunner tops for $1.41 apiece and a white long sleeved top for $1.91.  The two really BIG finds were a Calvin Klein and a Ralph Lauren, both for my DIL.

The rule is one in and two have to leave.  I'm safe.  I've got a stack taller than my knees in the living room that I can't wear. All size 14's and GREAT stuff.... guess I'll put them on ebay or Craig's List.  I hate to give them away. Most are barely worn...

Well, that's it for me.  Will watch true murders on TV...

Good morning Janet, we are still in Tucson, it is suppose to get to 76 degrees here today...not real sure what we will be doing today..something outside for sure. Im working on a pretty good tan already.

Tomorrow is the super Bowl and people seem to be excited here in the home of the Cardinals .

as much as we dont want to we will be heading toward home on monday but will take a while to get there, dont want to get home really. have to deal with cutting up and burning all the trees that fell during the horrible ice storm.I sure am glad that we werent home while that was going on. I get so cold so easy but that is old news to everyone lol.If i get my way i think i would sell everything and move here...the only thing that really keeps me from it is my flowers. all the things that we have done and in the sun even i havent gotten too hot at all. even hiking up mountains. was comfortable. oh well i guess there isnt any such thing as things being perfect till we get to Heaven.

as soon as i figure out how to get my picture website back onto my signature area on here then you all will be able to see our travels pictures. lol.

Have fun and enjoy life.

Jan, you DON'T want to be at home right now!  They're saying that NAR might be out of power for as long as 4 weeks, and you're just across the border, right? Take the slow route home and let them get things back in order. Hope Jeannie is safe and warm.

Please let me know if you motor through LR on the way. I'd still just love to have a cuppa with you and DH.
Ride safely!

We have power but were without internet and TV for a couple of days.  Finally, all the ice has melted, but it looks like a war zone with all these trees down.

We were really fortunate that we never lost power.  The really hard thing is seeing all the trees that are either down or broken or shreaded.  It makes me sad.  We need to meet for a sweet potato.

Jan,

I love Arizona.  Never been to Tucson but lived in Phoenix/Scottsdale for awhile... and loved it.  Had a chance to relocate there and didn't take it... silly me.

Sedona and Prescott were my favorites.  I could live in Sedona.  Took a hot-air balloon ride over the red rocks at daybreak... oh my... and a tubing trip down the Salt River.... my, the memories...

You'd probably love living there but they don't have the lovely flowers there you have at home... and they encourage you not to plant them.

Burrr it is cold here in MA. Lot of wind and the snow is covered with pine needles, looks like a carpet.
Nothing new here, just a quiet house since the Gkids are gone.
Gave Diablo a bath yesterday and he looks and smells wonderful. Hope his scratching is helped. He was so good for me in the bathtub. Think he knew he needed that bath.
Hope all have a good day. Wish my Giants were in the Superbowl again, but hey go Steelers.
