I am making this post in all seriousness.  Your comments on the What's New thread this morning have brought a smile to my face.

That being said, I want to say this,

If any of you are ever in the DFW area and want to take in a game, let me know.  I would love to sit in the stands and get to know you better while we take in a game (don't worry, my wife will be there with us - LOL).

We would love to come to a game but I don't think we will be heading your direction this year. My husband and sons dream is to  visit every baseball park in the country. I took my son to NYC to see a Yankee game for his 12th birthday. It was a great experience and good mother and son bonding time.

I'd love to come to a game but don't think it'll be this year ... finances are too tight. Maybe next year if I still have a job (if there are still newspapers around).

Sounds great, George!

Might be in DFW (Ft. Worth really) sometime around April if hubby is well enough to travel.  My sister just moved to Ft. Worth and we owe her a visit.....

I, too, love baseball.  I don't find it slow or boring in any way.  I love picking off the signs and calling the pitches and I'm pretty good at it, too.  I love to watch all the people in the dugouts and on the field and the anticipation of each play developing into action.  I'm never bored - on television or in person.  We haven't been to a game in many years.

My son pitched through Little League, Pony League, Winter Ball teams, and High School.  His little League team made it to the level just below below making it to the Little League World Series.  Fun times.....  Our fondest memory - 1988 Dodgers and Kirk Gibson and the magic trip to the World Series.....

My son is grown now with a little one of his own.  He's gone over to the "dark side" and is an Angels fan.  For me, the American League plays "sissy" ball when the pitcher isn't required to bat.  As the mother of the pitcher whose son was also an excellent batter..... well, you get the idea......

I miss Mel Ott and...... "This Week in Baseball!"

I must say that if I have a personal connection on a team: son, daughter's boyfriend, nephew, neighbor, then I am a ferocious fan!!

First, I love you.  I despise the DH, but that being said, I wish both leagues played with the same rules, either way.

Second, we could definitely take in a game if you get here.  If you can plan when, I would like to let you know of a great deal.  Tickets for the weekend of the 17, 18 and 19 April are $10 for all seats up to $33.  The Rangers are playing the Royals that weekend.  That is the only weekend they are in town.  The 13th to the 15th  is the Orioles and the 28th - 30th is the A's.
