Hi all!  I've been on my state board for a few months, but thought I'd check in with those of you that are my age.  I'll be 52 in May and I have my first appt. with a surgeon Feb 3rd.  I'm excited and somewhat nervous at the same time.  I suppose maybe like some of you that have already had surgery, you may have felt the same.  I've read several books, already been to one support group meeting but thought if any of you who have already had surgery have any advise from your experience it would be greatly welcomed.

WELCOME!

I was 54 when I had my RNY WLS (May 2008). I only wish I had done it years ago! It has changed my life (for the better)! Best wishes!

Welcome Charlene,

My advice is to go to the support groups, read, learn and ask questions. WLS changes our lives in so many GOOD ways.

 Charlene,

WELCOME....  a great group of people here.  Your life will take a new wonderful change on Feb 3.  We all had the nervous, excitement and apprehensions you are going through.  Keep yourself well informed and you will do great.

Soon you will be sitting with us on the losers' bench...
