Good morning Diane and all you other OFFers.

A cold morning getting ready to hit us here in Dallas.  Supposed to have an ice storm by noon.

Another easy night at work.

Found my first Fantasy Baseball Magazine of the year.  A sure sign of spring is near.

Have a good day.  Feel free to talk amongst yourselves.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

i am so excited to see your smile here this morning!!!! you have been on my mind!!!

not wanting to sound dumb but how do they determine your stoma size? what tests did you have to have???i should know this but i don't remember -and others may want to know! i think it is amazing that you have held that 177# loss off ,gf!!! ( that's like holding off me-i am at 175-176 !!!!!) and i can understand your desire to "finish" your losing....i am still "in the works" myself..grateful for keeping off 50 of the 83# i lost--needing to lose another 50#....

they are saying we may get snow today- probly about supper time! (actually saying at about 8 pm)great cuz we'll be out in it!!!--anywhere from 3-9 inches depending on where we live in ohio! looks like S. H. may get more than we will up here! i was just telling someone that i wish we would have an out and out blizzard here--i really would enjoy being stuck in the house -oh gosh-remind me i said that in a few days ok?!but i am due for some jammie days where i don't have to feel guilty-AND where we don't have to go anywhere!--wow- i guess alot of folks are in teh advisory areas!!!!!!!!

today is plasma day.maybe a bit of groceries-and a freecycle stop or two.

michael is feeling better -he ended up staying on the couch all day til i got home then we napped a bit then he went back to the couch-he DID manage to put the dogs out and watched some tv last nite in the chair..he ate some hot (baby) rice cereal..and some chix ramen...but he is bouncing back slowly....

i spent a few more hours on the computer in genealogy land last nite- found a "robbins" in my history the other nite and wanted to learn more- i may be a long lost cousin of our annette's tom!!!!i traced the line for about 12 generations--i really think it is fascinating to see how it all unfolds!!!! and to learn about these folks who founded our country! also; since i am in the biz of records retention at work; it is interesting to find old documents and etc online! that is what i do--and my one co-worker keeps saying"nobody will ever see this stuff so don't worry how neat"..yea! right!

well; need to check my bank acct and pack my lunch...working on the iron biz, too!!!

so great to see new folks posting -or others coming out of lurkdom!!!
hugs and prayers

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi Margo...and all.  My pouch has not stretched.  It is the stoma... the connection between the pouch and the intestine.  They find out by doing a scope down your throat.  Stretching your stoma is another good reason to chew, chew, chew and for taking liquid vitamins/minerals and breaking up large pills.  I take a lot of supplements and usually gulp them down all at once.  That will have to change.  Hopefully, the insurance hoop is a small one.  They wrote and said that I didn't have PCP approval...which of course I did...in writing.  Loving prayers to Connie's grands; Annette's kitties; Eileen's knee; Carla's health; and all that have asked for prayers.  Special wishes to those that have not asked for help, but need it anyway.  Margo, you inspire me to get back into family tree hunting.  I did some fun research and grave hunting when I was in England.  Diane
No matter what a person's past may have been, their future is spotless.  Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!!

Good Tuesday morning to everybody!
I am finally feeling better.  Still have some stomach pain every once in awhile.  Probably more like bowel pain.  But have been able to eat and feeling a little more energized.
Stayed at work till almost 6 last night, it's the end of the month and needed to get some stuff in before then. Plus tomorrow morning I will be late because I am going to get a perm (can't stand this flat hair anymore) and I don't want to use vacation time.  I will probably stay a little later this evening.  Need to build up at least couple hours or more.
We are getting snow here today.  I guess we had freezing drizzle overnight, so might be a wild ride into work today.  Temp is 6 with the wind chill.  BRRRRR!

Annette, your poor furbaby. You should have taken pictures.  I remember when we had a parakeet and my brother was blowing bubbles and the bird grabbed the gum.  The poor bird was covered in gum.  My mom and brother had to clip all the gum off his feathers.  I remember the bird would not turn around in his cage, he kept his face to the wall.  Then one day my brother came upstairs and the bird was singing and chirping and my brother says "he's not mad at me anymore."  That was the best parakeet.  We had to give the parakeet to my other brother because my dad found out he was allergic to bird feathers.  The bird use to hang right over his head. LOL
Well, better get ready for work.

Take care,
MIckey

Morning all,

Wow, Diane, you have done amazing! Good luck on all the hoop jumping.

Not much new here, just still terrible cold.

I just read a book called The Book of Bright Ideas by a Kring woman, can't remember the first name, then she has one called Carry Me Home, haven't read that one, but am on the last one (they are not a series) and  I have just had a huge brain fart...can't remember the title. Geeze I hate when I do that! Anyway, they are pretty good, about some  life situations from a little girls perspective...My daughter gave me the first one, she had to read it in her college English class. Another really good one I just finished is Driving with Dead People. It's a memoir by Monica Holloway, about a family with some abuse issues and her growing up and figuring out what the heck her family went through....she's a good writer. It's suppose to come out in a movie sometime this year.
Well, heading up to the treadmill, you all have a good day.

Good morning, Diane and my other OFF'ers. I hope that this Tuesday finds you all doing well.

I am with Margo, Diane, how do they find that the stoma is larger? I have wondered that one myself.

This morning the temperature is 14 with a wind chill of 6. So it is getting warmer bit by bit. The sun is out just a bit this morning. It just starting showing it's lovely face just a couple of minutes ago. I hope that the sun stays out. It makes this kind of weather easier to take with it out. Kind of brightens things and makes you think that spring is going to be coming sometime. Well, a woman can dream, can't she? And I personally think that it is just a dream too.

I am starting to feel a bit better today. I am getting better bit by bit each day. I better be back to normal by tomorrow since I have a full day of meetings and such. I am getting tired of this anyway. I am not use to having the flu stuff anymore. I haven't had it for several years. It just seems to take all the ommph out of a person. I haven't had any desire to do much of anything for the past several days.

I guess I should be going. Nothing much going on here. I am sending love and hugs to everyone and prayers and good thoughts are going up for everyone who wants them. Have a wonderful day and keep smiling!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Good Morning Diane!
I was just thinking about you the other day wondering if you were on a long awaited retirement vacation!  I'm so glad you are doing well!  Geez, I didn't think our stoma's would stretch that far!  good luck with the revision!  I admire that you have maintained that 177# wt loss, I sure haven't maintained mine.  I'm now at about 180 from a low of 155 which was too low for me but I would rather weigh about 165.  I actually decided yesterday that I HAVE to exercise.  HA!  I requested a script for cardiac rehab again, our hospital offers it and while I don't have heart issues, obesity is one of the risk factors and even though I don't feel obese, I am still considered obese by the charts etc.  I can go and do it right after work most days and then go home.  that works out better for me because I don't do it once I get home despite my good intentions!
I just took Lukas over to get fixed (neutered) and UTD on his shots, I will adopt him thru Planned Pethood of course.
My idea of a stimulus package would be to give all taxpayers 100K.  That way we could ALL stimulate the economy!  I would pay off loan, car and credit card and then spend the rest on a NEW kitchen!  Now wouldn't that be nice?  LOL that would get things going again!  Or maybe I would take a trip to the British Isles to see all the sights I would love to see, castles, cathedrals, meet the laird of my dreams who lives in the Scottish Highlands, looks a bit like Sean Connery and looks good in a kilt, is wonderful and looking for a woman like me....HA!
As my boss/friend says, I live on Fantasy Island!  LOL
Guess I should get back to work.  Employers tend to frown on this you know!  LOL!
have a good day everyone!

"The Secret Garden" was about my favorite book when about age 12-13. I can picture you and your Sean Connery knock off in that setting. Have you read it? I can still picture that Scottish setting with the long neglected garden which the kids brought back to life. . .

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Secret Garden!  I even have the movie version (one of them anyway).  Got some disturbing news at work today and may settle in with a glass of wine and the movie and lose myself in it.  In my jammies already!
