morning eileen and OFF family....

having a heat wave here in willoughby ohio....LMAO 25 and wind chill 13....still BRRRR to me!!!! atleast the sun is out making it look warmer....haha

well today i need to find a dentist....took a bite of cold food last night and when it hit this tooth...OMG the pain!!!! soooo finding a dentist is on the agenda for me today...might as well find a pcp also and get checked out. got insurance so might as well use it huh?? still need to get my blood retested....not sure what to do with test because it used to go to dr foote and he moved out of mmpc...guess i should call new office and ask huh...just costs me to use the cell before 9 pm is all....sighs...

got next weeks work schedule...i am off saturday!!!!! woooohoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! first one i have been off without asking for it off!!!! excited to be off and spending quality time with rick...but then his paycheck will be short a couple days because of monday and tuesday being off for that pulled muscle. he did go to work yesterday and boss told him not to overdo it so he did pretty good. pain is still there but getting better.

well thats about all i can think of for todays whats new....going to go look at my old cd's and other tapes vhs dvd's see what i want to get rid of and take them in to this store that buys used stuff and get a few bucks and maybe find a few new movies to watch also...and nope they don't have tonka...still searching for it and i will not pay 40 bucks for this movie!!! will wait and see if i find it somewhere cheaper.

Good morning Eileen and everyone!!!
I'm here at work. Seems fairly calm for the moment. I am sure getting spoiled with the days off we have had lately. We had a 4 days weekend and I had added a day. I really didn't want to get up to come into work yesterday. I thought iit would last forever. I hope today goes fairly quickly with little or no stress. I know - wishful thinking.
I had LP with me for a part of the long weekend. He was not feeling well Monday evening. Poor boy was running a fever all night long. I had to sit and rock him most of hte night. It has been a long time since I slept in a chair all night. Anyway, he is feeling better now. Just some stuffiness in his nose. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I don't catch whatever had him feeling badly.
Not much else to report in my life. Work, home, baby, work, home baby.... I am hoping we get the custody settled soon. this child needs a legal guardian now. Please pray that all of this turmoil works out soon.

Good morning, Eileen and my OFF family. I hope that today is good.....no strike that one.........great for everyone.

I have to take Virginia my 90 year old neighbor to the doctor this morning so I am not going to be able to chat for long. I still want to peruse the rest of the board too. Anywho....Virginia is having some problems with a cold and some congestion so I told her the other day that I would take her since the senior bus won't take her DGGS who is 4. She has had him for about the last week. I get kind of angry because her family takes advantage of her so much. They have nothing to do with her unless there is something that she can do for her and that is usually to babysit. I am surprised that she doesn't have her 1 year old DGGD since her mother has a "cold" but I personally think she is just a lazy girl. She leaves those kids with Virginia all the time so she can sleep. She sleeps when she has them too and leaves little Alex to watch Layla. All I have to say is what a family. It angers both Bill and I but sometimes you just have to keep your mouth shut. It is hard tho.

It is 16 degrees here this morning and flood warnings for Porter County. I guess the Kankakee is almost to flood stage right now. Oh well, what are we going to do? The sun is out and it looks so warm but in reality is sooo cold. I am hoping that later on it gets somewhat warmer. The real cold weather is coming and I know that. I want out outta here so bad and so does Bill. I want to move to Nevada. That place is so warm but not hot and so beautiful. But as my Grandma use to say "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride". And isn't that the truth too?

I best get going. I am sending love and hugs to all with prayers and special thoughts going up for everyone. Have a wonderful day and know that tomorrow is Friday........hooray!

Good Morning Eileen and my OFF brothers and sisters,

It is a balmy 41 here is the south today. We still have a little bit of the white stuff on the ground but it should be gone today.  I love the fact that we get a little bit every 5 years or so.  You know just enough to remind me why I live here!  We spent a number of years in PA and MD and shoveled every winter!  Still have the shovel but haven't seen enough snow here to shovel! lol  Don't miss it a bit.

Well, I am going to try to get something done today so I;ll see you all later!!

Well, I am home today with the stomach flu.  I am feeling a little better. Pretty weak. Boy was the pain in my stomach bad.
Luckily, no just been sitting on the pot a lot.  Not sure where all that came out came from.LOL
Sorry, I know, TMI.
I haven't had the stomach flu since I have had my surgery (3 years).  Maybe this is why I have been so stressed and having so many dreams.  This has all been brewing up.
My husband went to get me some jello and diet seven up. I got the jello down, haven't tried the seven up yet. I have just been sucking on ice cubes.
I just hate missing work because you get so far behind and I was finally getting caught up.
Margo, I finally am close to the weight on my driver's license.  I remember when I was at my heaviest the guy asked me if I wanted to change anything on my DL and I just kind of looked at him and said Nope.  Now if anything ever happens to me, they won't get confused with my DL.
LOL
Well, better get going.  I would like to take a shower but not sure if I can make it through one.

Good Morning Eileen and OFF buddies

I am on this puter early ( for me) and there is already over 20 posts.  Seems like several are having sleep issues.  I mentioned I was having the same problem a little over a week ago.  This has plagued me for ages.  No medication works and they all leave me feeling yuky.  But I can report that for the last week or so I have been doing great.  I bought a CD at Barnes and Noble I think it is called the Delta Sleep System.2.  I am not sure but it is by Dr. Jeffery Thomas.  It is not music but is soothing.  It contains Delta wave pulses that causes what is called entrainment.  When two pendulums are swinging near each other they will in a short time begin to swing in synch.  Supposedly the brain does the same thing.  So the CD pulses Delta hz.  and the brain will begin to pulse in sync.  Delta waves is the sleep that is the deepest and is what is needed to rejuvinate the body.  I am waking up feeling good even if I wake up several times in the night.  I am awake all day.( I used to fall asleep in my recliner in the middle of the day because I was so tired)  Most nights I sleep 6-7 hours and if I wake up I just hit the play button.  I have not had so much energy in I can't remember when.  I am hooked on this CD. 

This morning I am washing a load of clothes and then going to the health club.  This afternoon I will clean my office and pay bills.

Busy day today already,  both granddaughters are still sick so they are home again from school.  They both have whatever I have, although I feel better today.  Sami worked herself into quite a state this am,  she wanted mommy to stay home, and yakked all over the carpet at home, so I had to clean that up before bringing them here.

Earl saw the surgeon yesterday, but the incision isn't healed enough to remove the stitches yet. They need to stay in another 2 weeks. This is a usual occurrence with Earl.  He heals really slow, I think it is from the RA meds.  The doc was pleased with the level of feeling he has in his fingers and the movement in his fingers and wrist.  Only thing he has to leave the rigid splint on 24/7 to keep the thumb joint from moving.  He has to wear it for 6 weeks solid.  Doc said it will take at least that long for the thumb joint to heal, maybe longer...

I spoke to Carla last night. She is doing ok.  Has had a migraine all week.  Her levels from the radiation pill are coming down so she thinks she'll be able to come home tomorrow or Saturday.

My sleep issue is I have a hard time getting to sleep, once I am there I sleep like a rock and could actually sleep 10-12 hours. It is often 2-3 AM before I get to sleep then up at 8 jump into clothes and off to work. Son had some trouble, he got a speeding ticket last month and when the officer gave it to him he told him when the court date was Feb. 15th. He got arrested yesterday for failure to appear, the court date was January 15th. So I have my grandkids. He is so stupid sometimes, why didn't he LOOK at the ticket. Laid off from work 2 weeks ago, landlord wants his apartment back next month for his kids and now this. Think God is trying to get his attention??So I had to be on the  road by 7am getting Faith to high school, back home take a shower, wake up Zach, get him to school by 8:30 then on to work, gas tank flirting with empty and payday tomorrow. I have been at work half an hour and I just want to lay my head on the desk and sleep. I am off tomorrow so maybe I can actually post when people will read it while Zach is getting ready for school.I am planning a B-day celebration for Liz on Sunday. This wil be her last B-day before she becomes a Mom. Last year she was very ill ,just out of the hospital( had a miscarriage a week later) and for some reason this b-day is very important to her. I have no idea why. She will be 31. Saturday I have to get her to  a surprise shower at noon. Need to finish her curtians tonight ( my present to her) clean the house. anyway I think I am on schedule. Not sure who will be here Sunday for her. I expect her brother will be out by then but who knows. Faith will be at a weekend church function, and Chuck has a out of town meeting, so may be only her, her hubby, my mom and Zach. She wants Fahetas (sp) and carrot cake . I am still doing great on my eating plan. We went out for all you can eat oriental food last night and I took sliced turkey and swiss cheese to eat. This morning Zach had 1/4 of a double cho chip muffin left from his breakfast and I threw it away with out suffering. I better go, lots of work on my desk and director coming in for a meeting soon. Blessings.. Oh Oh we are suppose to see 50 degrees today..yippee Only one day but a nice break from the cold.

Good morning Eileen and Off, thought i would hop on here for a minute or two....we are still on vacation. at our daughters in Tucson, oh wow it is so pretty here highs in the 80s....having a little bit of drizzle here but nothing serious ....washing clothes this morning , cant carry much with you on a trike..lol ...

Is there anyone of Off that lives in AZ down around Tucson area.?????:? dont remember anyone on here that lives in this area...but if you do get in touch and let me know

Went to the Saguaro National Park yesterday, oh my gosh you talk about beautiful....desert where the cactus are and at the edge of the desert are the mountains so beautiful i kept thinking everytime i look up and see the mountains i hear the phrase "Purple Mountains Majesty" they take my breath away. I am about ready to sell everything and buy out here. but wouldnt want in city....too big for me ..

talk to you all later in the week....we have already stayed longer here than we started too , dont know when we will leave to head back home. not looking forward to going back to the cold they are having there.
