WAY WAY OT: any "paper punchers" out there?
I would definatley try to take it back!
My son in law is a "Dumpster Diver", he has several stores where he has asked permission to go through their dumpster about once a week. At one, after Christmas, he found several items that were returned defective. He took them home , repaired some things and some he emailed the manufacturer and asked if he could get parts for them. He told them how he got them, and they all said they didnt care how he got them, just send them in and they would replace them! Five of those old fashioned looking record player/cd/tape players!! I have one in my bedroom as I type this! A sweeper, a coffee maker,,a very expensive razor, a cordless phone, a shampooer (they just told him where to take it), and some of the places even sent him the postage paid labels to return them!
So, if HL doenst want to take it back, find out the manufacturer and contact them.
I worked in retail all my life, and I learned, a happy customer may tell a few friends,,but an unhappy customer will tell everybody! That company doesnt want that kind of publicity! LOL
