Good morning Vera and everyone!

I am glad Tuesday is over.  I think I got some good rest last night, but think I dreamed a lot.  I have been dreaming more lately. Not sure what is going on.

Vera congrats on the 50 lbs, that is great.
People think that just because we had the surgery our weight problems disappear, but they are still there.  It is still hard. And sometimes I think it is very hard because we know we are being watched, to see if we gain this weight back.
George hope you get picked for that commercial. That would be neat.   I remember years ago, I was in the paper for losing weight at Diet Center.  Of course that was the beginning of my yo yoing.
Annette glad you are warm.  This is not the time for your furnace to go out.
Hope Carla is doing great.
Floyd, I hope Brenda is back on her feet soon.  I bet this is really scary for her.  Give her a hug.

Hope everybody has a great day today.
Take care,
Mickey

Today looks to be cold and maybe wet.

Yesterday, my students and I gathered to in the student union to watch the swearing in of our new president, and for the first time in a very long time, I felt a sense of hope and quite frankly pleasure at seeing our first African American president.  Now I can say, I remember what I was doing when President Kenndy was killed, where I was when they walked on the moon, where I was Martin Luther King was killed, and Bobby, and what how I felt when the rocket with our first female astronaut eploded, and what I was doing when our first African American President was sworn into office.  So, today, in our composition class, we are writing about what we were doing when...  I'm looking forward to reading what the younger people remember and have marked as major mile markers.

Hope you all stay warm.  It's going to be cold.

Congrats on the 50 #s

My day is a sad one. My darling old kitty cat passed away in the night. I found her this morning. She will be greatly missed. I had her companionship and love for almost 16 years.

I am sooooo sorry for your loss, it is so sad when we lose our 4-legged, loving friends.

I'm sending you cyber hugs,  Laureen

i'm very sorry to read that ,susan. my callie kitty is about 15 now( i have had her almost 10 years)  and i watch her daily....and wait for her end..even tho she seems healthy as a kitten! i had a special girl, ernestine, for 18.5 years that i had to put to sleep...i still miss her.she was my reason for going home at nite when i was young and single!used to laugh with my 1st hubby that i would get rid of him before her if i had to make a choice! ultimately, a few years after losing her,i divorced him.....nuff said!

special hugs to you today.......

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Sorry about your kitty. I know how it is to lose a dear pet ... had to put to sleep a 16-year-old and a 19-year-old, and I still miss them like it was yesterday (and it was nearly 8 years on the 16 year old ... 5 on the 19 year old ... they were brothers). She gave you lots of love and companionship, and she will live in your heart forever.

I am so sorry about your kitty. It is so hard to loose your baby. I know how you feel. I had to put one of my dogs down in September. My heart goes out to you. Nancy
