Don't I feel like an idiot! FYI

I've been using aluminum foil for more years than I care to remember. Great stuff, but sometimes it can be a pain. You know, like when you are in the middle of doing something and you try to pull some foil out and the roll comes out of the box. Then you have to put the roll back in the box and start over. The darn roll always comes out at the wrong time.
Well, I would like to share this with you. Yesterday I went to throw out an empty Reynolds foil box and for some reason I turned it and looked at the end of the box.  And written on the end it said, Press here to lock end.  Right there on the end of the box is a tab to lock the roll in place. How long has this little locking tab been there?
On the end of the box is a triangle.. it is perforated.... Just pu**** through and your first finger will be in center of roll and you can stop it anywhere you want before tearing..
I then looked at a generic brand of aluminum foil and it had one, too.  I then looked at a box of Saran wrap and it had one too!  I can't count the number of times the Saran warp roll has jumped out when I was trying to cover something up.
I am sharing this with my friends that did not know this.  If you all ready know this, delete this message and don't e-mail me and make me feel dumber than I already feel.
I hope I am not the only person that didn't know about this.

Jeanne, Thanks for the tip. Wonder how long that triangle has been hiding? Now if you can give a hint about Saran Wrap and always losing the end flap, I'll be happier yet. Annette

Add me to the list, guess they should have a book called, Foil & Saran Wraps for Dummies, huh?  or maybe it's just us women being like men, never asking for directions or reading the instruction manual (lol)! Hugs, Laureen

Thank you Jeanne.  You have saved my next foil dish from being all wrinkled because I rerolled it after it fell out on me.  I should be added to the duh list too. Bev

*~*~*~* I just got back from my foil and saran drawer... I found them too. *~*~*~*~* I immediately looked for the little fly on the wall.... You know, the inventor of the triangles who said he wished he were a fly on the wall to watch us drop the rolls all over the floor..... I killed it..... LOL Thanks for sharing this new technical marvel... LOL Millie

Thanks for sharing this - I hate fighting with food wrap rolls. I wonder why they don't advertise this feature more on the food wrap boxes. Jean
