Insurance denied me. Long

I wanted to reply to everyone but I thought a HUGE thank you was in order! I really can't thank you all enough for lifting my spirits and showing me that there is hope. My husband got an email from someone in the company who said he would have an answer for us today. Come to find out it is the Chef Operations Officer of his company (fortune 500 company) He said he was very sorry for the problems and he was very upset to hear we were being treated this way. I know it will get taken care of. Now we just have to see what the insurance company says now LOL. I'll keep you posted with a play by play on how this all works out! Thank you all again. It is very common for insurance to deny you the first time you try to get it approved. Don't give up. I would put money on it that almost everyone on this site who's had the surgery got denied at first then fought and won. Insurance companies do that so they save money... weed out the week one's who give up and then they have to pay for fewer surgeries. I wrote a letter to the insurance company stating why I needed this surgery... it worked and now 3 years later I'm down 135 lbs and my life has changed completely. good luck and don't give up! Gina
