Woo Hoo!! Down 31 lbs

Hello. I was so excited I have to tell somebody. I went to my first appointment with Brenda and Julie at Kaiser today. When I stepped on the scale I was affraid to open my eyes. I haven't weighed since April 17th. And then I was 511 lbs. I stepped on that scale today and started crying. It said 480. I have really been trying to change my habits and excersise. I guess it really does pay off. I have to go see the physical therapist and another social worker(to help deal with the recent loss of my dad) and then back to see Julie and Brenda in 4-6 weeks. WOO HOO! I am so excited. I was so scared at first because I had the number 50 stuck in my head. I was told we had to loose 10% of our total body weight before surgery. I think about that number now and it is only 19 more pounds. I am amazed at how this makes me want to work harder! Well, I suppose that is enough. Like I said, I just had to tell somebody cus I am so happy. Sarah

Congratulations!! That is really wonderful. I'm just getting started with that part of my journey. Had my consults today. I need to lose 10#. Keep up the good work!! Jamie

Sarah, I'm very excited for you!!! I can't begin to tell you how much this surgery is going to change your life and you are doing so well with your weight loss!!! 19 more lbs is really doable!!
