Salem Support Group Meeting ...

Hello everyone! Just a reminder that there is a support group meeting in the basement of the Salem Hospital this Wednesday, August 16th at 7:00 pm. I will post a bright yellow sign on the door so you can find us! Hope to see you there! Deanna

Hi Mary! I'm so glad you're coming to the support group meeting ... I'm anxious to meet you! You are only 2 weeks ahead of me so I'm sure I'll find a lot of encouragement through you! Hi Nancy! Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the support group meeting either! I got stuck in Portland at my 3 month follow-up appointments and wasn't able to make it back in time! Anyway, the meeting next month will be September 20th at 7:00. Hope to see you there! Deanna

Deanna, I just happened to stumple onto this message about a Salem WLS Support Meeting!!! I am so excited to hear this. Is the meeting for anyone that has had or going to have WLS? I just had surgery in Portland on Aug. 18th and I was so hoping to find a local support group that I could start attending. Is it just once a month? How do I sign up to come (If I can?)??? Peggy

Welcome Peggy!!!!! How are you doing after your surgery? Are you getting into the swing of things? The support group meeting is every 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the basement of the Salem Hospital. ANYONE is invited to attend ... no matter if you are pre-op, just considering surgery, or post-op with any kind of bariatric surgery. There is no need to register or anything ... we are a small, informal group! We'd love to have you come ... I hope to see you there in September!!! Deanna
