I try to be positive
I had my surgery on Aug 14th and I'm down 65lbs. I haven't changed my ticker bc i forgot my password
Listen.......you didn't gain that weight over nite and your not gonna loose it overnite........that is how i feel and that is what i tell people when i see their faces when they think i should have lost more weight. I also tell them atleast I'm doing something positive about it and that I would appreciate their support and if they can't say anything positive.........please keep their opinions to their selves
Walk with your head up high and be proud and ignore the stupid comments.

I gave a lot of thought as to why her comments bothered me so much. I guess I was just looking for her approval. My weight has always been such an issue for her, I think I wanted her to finally look at my weight loss as a success.
That being said, I am very happy with my progress so far. I've been fat and frumpy for too long and I really lost my sense of self for a long time. Everything I've worn for years had absolutely no personality. I'm no where near thin yet, but I feel so much better and that is what I am focusing on.
This week I bought a new, trendy pocketbook (instead of the plain old black bag) and wore an outfit that I consider fashionable (a knee length black skirt, black stockings, black boots and a tan jacket). I actually felt good and I got so many compliments.
Sorry, I didn't mean to get so long winded.
Rachelle
