Slow Loser (xpost)
Yes, I can do "lower" carb, but most veggie sources for protein does have carbs...like beans and tofu. I just have to keep an eye on other carbs. No bread or rice for me!
I think it's the NSVs that ultimately keep you going. I've noticed quite a few positive changes in my body, even if the scale didn't want to cooperate.

Hi,
I just wanted to add in that you everyone reacts differently after surgery and the "kick in the ass" you said you needed, well I think being as proactive and brave as you were to get the surgery is pretty darn amazing too!

{{{Rachell}}} Can I join your slow loser club?? I actually knew and expected to be a slow loser since I was actually a "light weight" when I had my revision (was >220 lbs day of surgery) My goal is to lose 10 lbs a month and I will be VERY happy
Actually I'm jumping for joy now
I went from wearing a 18W size jeans at day of surgery, back to a Reg 16 and size Large shirt back to a medium in 1 month

Hi Jane. Come to think of it, I expected to lose slower than most. I think it was just hearing it from the surgeon was sort of a blow to me. Either way, I'm thrilled with my weight loss. I'm wearing 16W down from a 22W. Can;t be unhappy about that!!

That's it Cheri. Let's make a pact right now to exercise. Nothing extreme...let's commit to walking for 20 minutes 3 times a week. Whadya say?
I know the exercise is going to be instrumental in my success. It's not always easy to find the energy after a long day at the office. No more excuses though, I have to treat it like an appointment with myself that I just can't break.
We will do it, Cheri. I know we will.
