Halfway there

Hi gang.  I've missed you all.  Work's been really stressful, long, and basically sucky.  I'm going to have to start looking for a new job, but at least I have one.  I had to miss Dr. Garber's last TWO support groups because of work.  Well, not November, no matter what! ANYWAY, I'm finally at the half-way mark.  It took 2 weeks to go from 169 to 167, but I guess I was on another palteau.  I was feeling really down in the dumps because It's taken me so long to lose only 42 lbs., but when I take into consideration that it's been 4.5 months, and if I lose the other half in 5 months, I'll still be in my first year and doing fine.  I have to keep my individual goal in mind and not compare myself with everyone else who loses weight faster than I do!   I guess what you've all been telling me is finally sinking in--thank you. My skirts are falling off (have you seen the Weigh****cher's commercial were she gets caught in the elevator & her skirt comes off??) and I'm finally getting tons of compliments. It's hard to believe that I might actually get to goal...but I guess that's what "one day at a time" means.

Hi Karen. It's good to hear from you. You are so right about comparing weights with one another. It's so hard not to do that. We are all different and unique.  I think that you are right around target for 4.5 months out.  You are doing great and you WILL get down to your goal weight  in due time. Hang in there. LOL (Skirts are falling off.) Compliments are always nice. Good Luck on your decision to try to find another job.

Hi Karen!

Nice to see ya!  I don't compare myself to others.  We all have different metabolisms, etc.  I too have an individual goal.  I've given myself to my 1 yr surgiversary date to reach it.  26 lbs in the next 5 1/2 months seems reasonable to me!  Keep up the great work and don't stay away so long!

OMG I love that WW commercial.  It's so funny!
