Ok, are you all sick of my questions yet?  Let me tell you how much I appreciate everyone's help!  I have another question though.  I felt FABULOUS yesterday.  I even made blueberry pancakes and eggs for my family (no, I didn't have any ), went for my walk, and went to the store.  Did I overdo it because I am feeling so weak today.  It's weird!  Also, I have only been getting about 40 oz of fluids in a day but trying really hard to do more.  Could it be that?  Is it the blood thinners wearing off that I had in the hospital?  I'm kinda clueless here.  I'm trying to drink a lot more fluids and if I don't feel better by this afternoon I will call my doc.

Hi Sweetie!

Congrats on not having any of the panni-cakes!  How long was your walk?  how long were you out shopping?  I wouldn't go crazy with any activities, yet.  It might be a reason, but also, you've only had surgery a few days ago.  You will have periods of exhaustion/weakness.  I would say if it persists, definitely call the doc on Monday.  Make sure you're getting enough rest.  I think the 40 ozs is great!  I don't think I did much more than that, even though they say try to do 50-60.

Thanks!  The pancakes were fun and I loaded them with blueberries we picked this summer.  There's got to be a healthy recipe out there for us I would think for when I'm more healed.  Protein first though! My walk was only 15 minutes and when I went to the store hubby drove and we really were just relaxed.  It was for about 30 minutes I would say.  I'm sure you are right about days of feeling great and days of feeling tired.  Thank you, sweetie!

yes, I think you might have overdone.  I had trouble with stamina the first couple of weeks.  Don't feel like you have to really "exercise" yet.  Just keep mobile and keep drinking.  Your body is also adjusting to the limited diet.  Don't worry about the questions...we all learn from people's questions.. I figured that's what I had done.  Thank you, Rosemary!  I am feeling a 'bit' better.  I started drinking more water and it's helping, too.  I'm laying low for the day .

The same thing used to happen me to after my "Walmart Shuffle" as I like to call it Everyday I made my husband take me to Walmart so I could hold the wagaon and take alittle walk around the store for exercise. I would then come home and literally sleep for 1-2 hours after my 1/2 hour jaunt. I can finally stay awake all day being 3 3/4 weeks post-op now As far as the water...you're doing GREAT with the 40 oz. Keep up the GREAT work

Wow, you really did have a tough time of it, Jane.  I should be thankful!  I haven't wanted a nap since I came home from the hospital.  BUT I will probably take one today .  Thank you!!

I LOVED my little naps Me and my chihuahua would cuddle up in the bed and snooze away. I'm sure some of it had to do with the anesthesia...it is NOT my friend I always suffer from hyperemesis from anesthesia, so this time my anesthiologist tried something different on me....he gave me adivan after my reverseal and just let me sleep it off in the PACU. I woke up 4 hours after my surgery feeling great and NOT puking my guts out

Jane, I slept great in the hospital for the most part other than the first night....they gave me adivan, too.  Anesthesia doesn't bother me really other than make me jittery and I am having a bit of a tough time sleeping now...probably part of my problem today.  I just tried to go nap and I can't.  So glad you did better this time around!  I know lots of people do have problems with the anesthesia.  Seems like your doc figured out the solution for you!

How great that you're feeling so well!  No matter what, just remember that your body is recovering from the trauma of surgery. You will go back and forth with sporadic energy and exhaustion. Listen to your body and rest when you think that you should. There's no crime in it. You are doing just great, my friend! P.S. Ask all the questions that you'd like to. Ask away.
