Well I started my 3 day clear liquid diet today.  This morning I was feeling all nervous/excited over it because I knew I AM ON MY WAY!  Yay!!  Tonight I'm thinking to myself...how do I get through 3 days of this???  I'm going to be whacky lol!   Actually I just found out I probably need some sugar of some sort (just the broth wasn't helping...not much protein there!) and drank some juice which I hadn't done all day and was having sf everything.  I feel a bit better now.  I was to the point with my family where I was like 'don't touch me, don't talk to me....I can't think straight!'!  Anyhow, I had to share and vent.  Thanks for listening!

I remember going through the sugar withdrawl also...it's not to pleasant I couldn't think either and wanted nothing to do with anyone and I got to do it while I was up at SUNY Fredonia visiting my daughter at Parents weekend I think she was glad when I left Sunday afternoon!

I had a TERRIBLE time with the pre-op liquid diet and I only had to do it for a day and a half!  I was so hungry I couldn't stand it.  I feel bad when someone says they have to do it for days and weeks.   Hopefully you'll feel better tomorrow...usually the appetite wanes the longer you go.  Good luck on Monday!!!  I'm excited for you!

Thank you so much!!!  I am excited (and a bit nervous), too!! Glad to hear the appetite wanes the longer I go!  I'm feeling a bit better tonight now.  Had my hubby pick up some better broth and some more juices. Thank you again!!

LOL, Ron!  I'll tell hubby that .  He's actually a huge cheering section for me and a lot of support.  I'm happy to say I'm blessed that way with many people and this board just adds to those blessings!   We CAN do this!  I know it!  Blessings to you on your surgery!  Thanks for the support!

Oh I am right along with you on this ride except I get medifast for 2 days & then all clear liquids for Sunday!!! I also have to do 3 days worth of milk of magnesia & fleet enemas!!!  DEAR SWEET JESUS!! Couldn't there be an easier way to get "squeaky clean"????? I made it through Friday night's adventure, only 2 more to go!!!!  Once I take the dog to the boarder's this morning then I will be able to keep busy & clean so hopefully that will take my mind off my grumbly belly!!!! I just have to remember it's all for a great cause!!!!! Just think... in 6 months from now, when our clothes are falling off of us, it'll all be a faint memory!!! Hang in there it's almost over!!! YIKES, only 2 more days!!! Cece

Ok, the Milk of Magnesia is just wrong !  I think that would be worse than anything else.  I've only had the stuff once in my life and swore to never do that again!  BUT that's just me and not everyone feels that way so I am sure, Cece, that you CAN DO IT!!   What is medifast?  I know a lot of you talk about it on here but I haven't a clue.   Stay busy and keep cleaning so you won't have to do much of that later on.  I talked on the phone a lot yesterday to keep my mind off of the hunger.  It also helped when I got some better tasting broth that hubby picked up for me and some other juices.  Without much protein (there's like 1g in chicken broth) and trying to do SF I ended up having to add some juices with sugar and a bit of jello with sugar because my blood sugar was dropping and I couldn't function.  After surgery it will be all SF for me though because I'll at least be having protein to help and I don't want to dump!   You are so right about the faint memory .

Medifast is the liquid diet - shakes - that they have had me on for the last 12 weeks or so!! Their choice, not mine!!!   Thank god I am done with them now!!! On to better things!!!  Cece
