Favorite Protein powders???

Hello.  I need to go on a diet ASAP as per my nutritionist.  She told me to go on protein shakes but which ones do I go on?  Is there a ny out there that taste good?  I was told about Gold Standard Cookies n Cream at GNC.  Did anyone try those?  Please let me know your favorites and where you buy them.  Also, did anyone have to lose weight before their surgery?  I have to lose about 20 lbs. in a month.  Can anyone give me pointers?  Thank you.

Best wishes to you!  My doctor didn't require me to lose weight but wanted me to lose some because it's easier for them to do the surgery on you if you do (makes the liver softer, more pliable and a bit smaller so it's not in the way).  I know some insurance companies require it as well but mine didn't.

My favorite protein powders are made by Syntrax.  My daughter and I really like the Fuzzy Navel flavor and we mix it with Peach flavored Crystal Lite Tea..............So yummy.   I have also tried their strawberry kewi and crystal sky (fruit punch flavor).   I make them in 4-6 oz of fluid and 1 1/2 scoop of powder for about 30gm of protein.  My daughter likes the protein bullets because they are only 3oz of fluid so they are easy to drink quickly and they give her 25gm of protein.   I also bought a bunch of samples from vitalady.  That is how I found out what we liked and didn't like.    I can't do any protein that has to be mixed with milk or if it is real thick.    Good luck Sally

Lili...take a deep breath! Did the nutritionist or Dr. Cussatti tell you you had to lose 20 lbs in one month? That seems like a VERY unfair request!

Hey Jane...maybe I should call Dr. Cussatti because yeah, that is what the nutritionist said.  Isn't that nuts?  20 lbs???  I am not getting surgery until December and I am not even sure on the exact day yet but she looked at me like I was crazy when I went there.  I am going to call Iris and then maybe see another nutrionist.  I thought when you go on the week liquid diet that you lose some weight but man for 2 months???  I got so nervous!!   Thanks Jane..I will take a few more deep breaths and call Cussatti's office..I will let you know the outcome!

I didn't think it was Dr Cussatti just because he NEVER asked me to lose any weight, he did say though if I did it would be great! Anyway....what Nut did you see? Did you see the one at Good Sam?

No I saw a Nut that works with my cousin at their medical office.  Obviously she is nuts.  She told me that I had to lsoe 10% of my wieght which is actually 27 lbs but I told her she was nuts.  I understood 10 but now 27? So she told me to make it 20.  I just made an appt. at Good Sam and the story there is very different.  So I will be seeing them very soon.  Thanks a lot Jane.  No Dr. Cussatti never said any of that ...I just thought whatever that Nut said is what I had to do.

Just do what Dr. Cussatti tells you!!! Best advice I can give you, because he knows exactly what is BEST for each of us!! I've been a patient of his for 4 years now and he NEVER steered me wrong yet!!!
