OMG!! It's less than 2 weeks away!!!!

I went to Ellis for my pre-op tests yesterday & OMG - it just hit me this morning... MY SURGERY IS LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY!!! HOLY CRAP!! How'd that happen?!!  I don't think I am really nervous yet but I am sure it'll set in soon!!! (I am looking forward to my "vacation" from work though!!!) I have to be at Ellis at 6am (Is god even up at that hour?)!! Wait till I break that news to my brother who has to drive down from Ballston Lake to get me!!!  My surgery is scheduled for 7:45am - make sure they all have enough coffee before we get started!! I will finally get to meet Dr Clarke this coming Weds!! You should've seen the looks of panic on everyone's faces in the office last Thursday when I asked about meeting the surgeon!! They all thought I had already met him!!! Apparently he's a popular guy & booked solid from now until the 22nd so they opened a time slot for me!!! One last thing to cross off the to-do list!!! Oh yeah - I have 5.8 more lbs to lose before I walk into surgery!!! (That's my goal, 50lbs - the surgeon's was 44lbs - hit that last week!!!) WOO HOO!! Cece

Cece, You have done a great job losing the pre-op weight, so I am sure you are going to be a big success.  You will have lots of anxious moments before...but, it is all worth it! Rosemary

I told a friend of mine that I was going to bring a box 'o joe & donuts from dunkin donuts & I better not wake up to find powdered sugar all over my belly!!  "Is that blood??? No it's strawberry jelly!!"    (ok, I crack myself up!!)  Cece

Britt,  Thanks!! I hope all goes well too!!! No more surprises, thank you very much!!! I've had enough!!! Yeah - they scheduled my surgery right away when they scheduled all of the tests!! I had my initial physical with their PA - someone didn't realize that & thought it was Dr Clarke!! Imagine their surprise!! No harm done!!  Cece

Yay, Cece!!!  I hear you :).  I can't really wrap my brain around it yet until I hear I'm cleared with the ins.  It'll probably bowl me over .  I have my pre-op clearance appt. today and then meet at the hospital on the 15th for labs, etc.   CONGRATULATIONS on the awesome weight loss you've already done!  Wow!
