My insurance requires 5 years of morbid obesity.  No problem except, my clinic has changed hands twice in the last five years and only have records for 2004. Any ideas?

You could try to contact the Doctors you saw.  Alternatively, the records exist somewhere.  Ask at the clinic about old records and where you might find them.  Any insuracne claims that you made during the 5 years may have information that support your condition.  Check with the insurers and ask about what was submitted to support claims during 2002 and 2003.  Are you diabetic?  Have you been purchasing testing supplies?  Any receipts or insurance claims?  Any ohter co-morbidity that required medical attention?  Did you see a specialist during that time that would have records to support your morbidity conditiion? Hope this helps. Rich

I too had the same problem and had to track down 2 DR.'s and get it from them. took me about 9 months. it was worth it because I was just approved after two years of meeting requirments. Dont give up. dont let the insurance company win. Best of luck.
