List of things to carry to the Hospital

Can someone post Dx"s list of things to carry to the hospital or shall we call it "the List". If not dx's list than someones condensed version. I am about a month and a half from finishing my 6 month supervised diet and things are looking pretty good. A friend of mine who was just approved will have his Surgery with Dr. Dewitt on 2/4. Anyone that has used Dr. Dewitt let me know what you thought. randy

I can only give you what I had to bring. Some of this is not HAD but wanted to bring. CPAP Machine (if on it) Toothbrush change of underwear MP3 player(I loaded mine with audiobooks) Chapstick Cellular phone Some playboy magazines. HAHAHA Kidding

I brought my CPAP, my BP meds, and my wife. She got everything else I needed for me. I guess I could make a "she neglected to get me some happy time with the sexy nurse" joke here, but 1) there were no sexy nurses on my floor, and 2) I don't know when I've felt less like having sex in my life than during my first three days post-op in the hospital.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Two things I would bring if you have them. One of those masks for over your eyes. The other is ear plugs if you can find them easy (don't go hog wild looking for some). If you get put by the nurses station they will talk through the night. Brian
