I completed and WON my first Half Marathon!
Well maybe the title is a little deceptive because my half-marathon wasn't sanctioned by any association nor did it have any sponsors and I was the only participant but nonetheless I ran the entire way and completed the first annual Chad Challenge 13.26 mile circuit in 2hours & 23 minutes. No medals or awards were given away at the finish line and there wasn't even anyone on the side of the streets to cheer me on but it was a helluva accomplishment and I thought I'd share it with you guys. It took just about everything I had to complete it but man am I sure glad I did.
I guess I can consider myself a long distance runner now among other things. Oh and I have proof too. Look at the highlighted data in the following link.

Joe 10 miles in 2 hours is awesome man!
You gotta remember that I live in Louisiana and we don't have hills here. My entire course was flat. I bet if I had hills who knows how many minutes (hours?) I would have added to my overall time. :)
At around mile 10 my body did start shutting down. I got a half mile or so of the 'runner's high' and it ALL went downhill from there for the last 3 miles. They sucked ballz to say the least but I was so far away from my house that I had no choice but to run home. I rested for the rest of the day on Saturday and Sunday and iced knees, shins and ankles all day.
