Tylenol for headaches!!

Ok guys - this is not for the faint hearted. I am really really embarresed by this. Here it goes:

Thursday I flew out of Houston to Vermont to return my grandmother to her home. I am staying until next wednesday - hoping to do some snowmobiling, and to spend quality time with Nana. During the day yesterday I had a tremendous headache. I had one before and posted for advise on what to take and the concensses (sp?) was tylenol. So I bought a travel pack at the airport during our layover. I took one.

Everything was good....to start with. I took plenty of water, ate protien during the day, no sweets, had some nuts, etc etc.

We got the Nana's house very tired. My stomach started to have a little discomfort, nothing to out of the ordinary for WLS!! Oh did I forget to mention our bags did not make it with us!!!

I had some diahria right before I went to bed. Once again, pretty normal for WLS. But sometime in the night I must have, well, sharted during my sleep. You know when you fart and then, well imagine the rest. I was so embarresed about this!!! ANd to top it off, NO LUGGAGE!!

Has anyone ever had the diahria thing happen after taking a headache med?? I dont get headaches much anymore, but when I do, damn they are good!!

Now you can stop laughing and offer some insite if you have any!!!!

If the pain medicine was plain Tylenol, I doubt that it would cause diarrhea, especially many hours after you took it for a headache. /Steve

I agree with Steve, probably not from the tylenol.  Much more likely that you either picked up an enterovirus of some type -- not all of them cause fever -- or you ate something which didn't agree with you or was contaminated or not as fresh as it should be, and you have some type of a food poisoning. The good thing is, your family will love you no matter what, and especially given your medical history, I would hope they would be understanding about it. Dan

That sounds like a typical "Dinner and a Show" evening.  I agree with the others that the pain reliever had little to do with it.

I have not had to take any pain meds other than what they give me after my surgery, but I have had things go through me like that and there have been times it has taken a few hours to complete it's path. I would venture to guess that if you take it again you will have your answer, just do it early in the day.  "sharted" new word, We were laughing with you! Only because on some level we can relate.

My advise would be tell Nana to close her eyes and do some laundry. Look at it this way.  When you go snowmobiling you can leave a trail so you can find your way home. Sorry couldn't resist and it sounded like you were a good humored person. I do agree with the other post though.  Hope you feel better soon.

O****eep the jokes a coming. And I don't think a trail will work panhead - I wont be able to see it as the heat will melt the snow!

Tried to wash the sheet - ended up trashing it!!!

Well Well Well...My little... "Pooh" Bear... I don't think it was the tylenol....but..I did have stomach distress, post airplane flight....( I thought it was the compresion decompression) but I could talk myself into it was my imagination.... But Brother...let me tell you...decongestants....will set me off....big time Russ
