Well if all goes right this time I will be having my surgery on the 15 of january. Went and saw the urologist to find out why they could not get the catheder in. I did have a stricture and him ramming those rod in be to hit my bladder I thought i was going to hit the ceiling. But at the end he incerted a catheder that he said I needed to wear for 2 weeks. That afternoon my surgens office called me and told me that if it was ok with the urologist the surgery is schedualed on jan 15. So i called the urologist he said it was ok and when they are done they can take the catheder out. Which is good news I think this is the most awkward thing I have worn. Simce I di physical labor I can feel it every time I move. scotty

I was catherized for the first time in my life about 3 hours after I came out from my RNY surgery back in November. For the first 3 hours I was getting in and out of bed every 10 minutes to try and take **** and each time I got about an ounce out before it quit. The doctor finally came by and told the nurse that my bladder was still asleep from the anesthesia and to catherize me. She told him, "He's been going regularly, I don't think we'll get anything." He told her to do it anyway, which was good cause I was fixin' to light the jets on her ass. Even on pain meds and still half groggy from anesthesia the insertion was brutal. But the relief was sweet. And that same nurse that didn't think she'd get anything had to dump that 1 liter bag twice in about 10 minutes. But then I had to wear the silly thing for the next 48 hours and that was a pain. I can't friggin imagine what you're going through having to wear one for 2 weeks. Good luck to you and it'll get better after you're on the other side.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
