Big Fart!!
I am one not to put much into the numbers on a scale but today I was under 200lbs! I have been hovering around 202 for the last couple of weeks and today I was 199.2. The funny part is I have stopped trying to lose weight and every few weeks I drop 5,6 or even 7lbs in a week and then hover there for a few weeks and then drop again. I do the same routine and eat the same thing but this must be how my body wants to lose.
Has anyone else found that their wife's attitude changes when you drop below their weight? This occurred recently and now my wife stops asking about my weight or my eating concerns. My wife has done awsome losing 60lbs in the last year on diet and excercise regime but she still shows some resentment towards my losing more and easier than she does.

Hi Jim, I also just dropped below 200 over the last couple of weeks. I also am right around or just under my wife's weight. She definitely doesn't seem as excited about mine, though she did go out the other day and get me a few new things to wear. She has begun her own program to lose weight and I am supporting her. She's told me many times that she would not be able to handle it doing it the same way I did.
Great job!! Great work!! Sounds like your body has a lower weight in mind for itself. See where it goes.

no women is ever going to be happy you weigh less than her. ever. so just stay supportive and tell her how good she looks! i always try to say, now and then, how good she looks in something. i mean it too. it's not all about us after all. i couldn't have done it without her and i let her know that. women are just plain crazy about their weight and size so if i even had to bite my tongue and say i took the easy way out i would. whatever it takes to make her feel better about her weight loss and yours. it's only words so i wouldn't freak out about telling her how you had to resort to drastic measures while she did it the "hard way". deep down she knows how hard it was for you. so i say support all the way no matter what you have to say to make her feel good. i've got to the point where she'll give me some of her sweaters or old tshirts to wear. not girly stuff so stop laughing! more like old workout stuff....lol i'm back to the size i was when we met. so we can trade off coats and stuff. that's a great feeling again. we're both small again.
btw, i lost the same way you did. i would stabalize for a month then drop a lot never to come back. never steady, just one big lump gone forever! carbonblob

Way to go Jim. I don't think I will ever weigh less than my wife. But a few weeks ago she was washing and drying jeans and grabbed a pair of my 34's and put them on by mistake. Of course they were to big around the waist, but they fit her hips. She is an inch or so taller than me and quite curvasious (sp). She told me I had lost enough weight and ther was no way I should be smaller than her. I really think the only way that will happen is if I could have plastic surgery. My 34's fit just right around the waist but are a little baggie where my ass use to be. I have been thinking about the slim fit Levi's.

Lesseee. The day that I weighed less than my wife was the day she announced she was considering the surgery herself. No, I don't think for a second that it was a coincidence. Congrats on the success Jim. I'm losing kind of the same way right now. maintaining for a few weeks then a loss appears. I'll take it.
