What is your 'go to' food now?
At six weeks my go to was 'proatmeal' - one packet of unflavored instant oatmeal, with ff milk instead of water, a scoop or a half scoop of AnyWhey brand unflavored protein powder from GNY, one packet of splenda and squirt of sf 'maple flavor' syrup. I've since found a sf maple and brown sugar flavor instant oatmeal at Wal-Mart (their own 'Great Value' brand) that could be used too, just leave out the splenda and syrup....
These days, my go to foods are scrambled eggs and also beef jerky (the ultimate conveniance food for me.)
well, instead of crap like i used to eat this is what i eat to keep me in line when i'm jonesing for food. i have low cal rice crackers or rice cakes for crunchy. s/f hard candy to keep me away from crap. and for sweet, low cal popsicles. i tried the s/f ones but hate them so i go low cal.
if i just have to stuff my face i'll put peanut butter and glob it on celery. that gets the crunch and sweet thing going. i also go for the water and that takes some of the craving out.
for everyday eating i just heat up a smart one dinner. about 250+ calories and put cheese on top for extra protein. i try to eat the same stuff all the time because i can control calories that way. i also gave in and just bought regular choc milk for my shakes. very sweet and extra calories but it mixes better and i have to get my shake at least once a day. i seem to burn off the calories anyway.
now this is way different than you will eat at this point. i posted this for you to look at down the road. at some point you'll be able to go back to foods you like. some that you liked you will now hate but the point is to find substitutes for the bad stuff you used to eat and find a way to chill the cravings with something that you won't sit and eat all day and gain weight. for me sometimes i crave crunchy, sweet, hot etc. so i've tried to either learn to avoid certain cravings or substitute them. right now your pouch is healing. when i was at your stage i just drank a lot of hot tea. for some reason that satisfied many cravings and filled me up. i really tried to not have a go to food but rather concentrated on how to work out head hunger. anyway, find some good alternatives that work for you that don't carry a lot of fat, carbs and calories. keep it simple.....carbonblob

I've done well on about everything I 've tried after about 3 months. Thats mostly good news! I don't generally more than 3 times a day; its worked for me.At night if I have head hunger i mix Sugar free jelly and crunchy peanut butter on low fat Ritz Crackers. I get sweet/Salt/Crunchy at the same time.It works for me and it's Protien. Good luck
