the Sunday Weekly Weigh-in!
The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
January 6th!
Congratulations and Welcome to our New Guys.
For those of you headed in next week--Have the Greatest!
For those of you just home—
"Keep Sippin' tha****er, and Walkin' Bunches"- Hang in there,
And all of you "Livin' on Liquid only Pre-Op Diets!! Same thoughts-
It Does Get Easier/Different, Each Week!
... just hitting your first stall?
It happenes to many....
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact
that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!
Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!
But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------
Hop your Azz up on the Scales!
How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?
And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?
My Starting Weight? – 385 +
All Time Low – 179
Me?-
183 Same ole, same ole.....Saturday Weight....
So, What about YOU?
Keep It Up!!!
Best Wishes-

Hello all,
I have been bouncing back and forth with 4 pounds for a month now. I decided it was time for a new approach so I have undertaken the 5 day pouch test. Today is day 4 and I have lost four pounds since I started. It has been a good reminder of how best to work my pouch and to remember what the full feeling feels like without taking in all of the wrong foods. I recommend it for those that need a reboot or a kick in the butt. It has worked for me so far.
Here's my numbers:
Starting weight, 1st consult (January 13, 2006) 339
Surgery weight (March 20, 2006): 300
Weight last week: 180 (I put back on 4 pounds before I started the test)
Weight this week: 180
Total lost: 159
Have a great week, Rick

Have posted to this thread in a long time....but here goes the honesty...
Starting weight..........340lbs.
All time low................155lbs (happiest that I was..but still hoping to lose 15 pounds)
Today.........................173 (hating myself more then I want to breathe.... could tolerate the 160-165 range........but hate myself at this weight.......makes matters worse...everybody is saying that I finally look healthy.)

Hi Everyone.
I didn't weigh myself in two weeks and was surprised to see a 2 lbs. gain. I have to attribute this to the holidays.
Today I'm 209.
Overall, I'm down 147 since surgery, and down 166 from my highest weight!
I had my one year follow up and it went very well. I have exceeded my surgeon's expectations so far. My lab tests were good as well.
For the next year, we set a goal to have my weight in the 170 to 190 range. So I decided to pick 180 as my ultimate goal weight.
I also decided to buy a treadmill. It was just delivered on Friday. Although I have been walking outside, the weather has been terrible. This will be much more convenient for me. My wife and son will use it as well.
I'm still lifting weights and now work out with 20 lbs. dumb bells for most exercises. The weights have made a big difference in my body definition. I'm planning to continue lifting throughout the year as well.

My 1st time weighing in here. I'm 4 weeks post Lap RNY. And have been at "the stall" for a couple of days now. But I know that it's normal (thanks to you guys) so I don't worry about it. Just started on solid foods this weekend. I'm glad to get away from the pureed and start chewing. I haven't been walking as much as I should but I'm going to start walking at work 3-4 days a week.

Hello All,
I'm finally back home after a nearly 4 week holiday trip to visit family members (6 stops in 4 weeks = busy, busy). It's good to be back and to catch up with the forum.
I was 212.5 the day we left, 213 the day we returned and--drum roll please--209.5 the day after. A 30+ year low for me!
Highest: 345
Weekly low: 209.5
Week's loss: -3.5
Total loss: 135.5
Happy New Year (belated)!
Doug
