I heard that for every 30 lbs you lose you gain an inch.   No really, I wanted to be around for my 5 grandchildren growing up.  The oldest is 10 now, and his growing years have been a blast.  I now have 4 younger than him, and I just want to be there. Sunday, I already have scheduled a catch session with Eddie to get ready for the upcoming ball season.  I am only 3 weeks post op, but I can't wait to throw the ball around.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I was on lethal doses of medication related to my high blood pressure.  Where the average person was taking 25 mg per day... I was on 500 mg...per day and my blood pressue was still 210 over 150 or so.  There were times...when you could actually see my heart beating through my chest.  I was borderline diabetic... but it was all about health.  Could care less about banging chicks...could care less about how I would look for my family or friends...  I did it primarily because I knew that if I didn't do something drastic.. I wouldn't live more then two more years...  There is something wrongs with a 30+ year old being concerned about having an heart attack...

"Bang hot chicks"??  **** I just wanted to be able to see my weiner without the help of three strategically placed mirrors and a roach clip! Seriously... I had surgery at the relatively light weight of 260.  My doc said that he saw health problems in me that he usually saw in patients 100 lbs my senior.  With sleep apnea, high cloresteral (SP?), high BP, bad knees and back, and diabetes looming on the horizon - I read the writing on the wall and took the plunge. Of course, vanity played a small role as well

I did it because my wife was doing it. Heck she could not be the only thin one! If she was going to get thin and possibly leave me for someone thinner I was going to be thin also....lol Maybee it was the back spazemens that used to send me to the floor. How embarassing to be laying on the floor at work just hoping I could get up before a customer would see me. Oh look at that poor fat guy laying there! Should we help him up? No no I'll be fine in a minute.....lol I had my reasons  Derrick

At 375 lbs plus I was at the point that it was all I could do to wipe my ass. That is not easy to say but it is the truth. One day I thought what is going to happen if I get any bigger. That was my low point and I knew that I needed to do something drastic.  I had high blood pressure, sleep apnea, sky high triglycerides, acid reflux and my back and knees hurt like the devil all the time. I have been sucessfull at dieting but a failure at keeping it off. Never the less I started a diet and at my first visit with my surgeon I weighed 359.  I did it for me.  The fact that I can out run my six year old grandson is just frosting on the cake so to speak. Never could have imagined being where I am today.  pan head
