Well, I guess the last 10 days hurt me. Until today I hadn't exercised since the 21st. Plus I payed no attention to what I was eating, drank a lot of soda and almost no water, and ate a lot of cookies and candy.
Lap Band Surgery – 08/21/06 – 320 lbs.
Last Week – 12/24/07 – 218 lbs.
Today – 12/31/07 – 226 lbs. Pounds Lost Week – +8 lbs.
Pounds Lost Total – 94 lbs.
71 weeks …or…
1 year, 4 months, 2 weeks.
Oh well. I'm fairly certain it's almost all water weight, and will shed all of the extra weight within a week or so. So there is no reason to be upset, I guess.
How have you all be doing?
You are nit the only one to add a few # over the holidays. I went from my all time low of 184.5 to 193.5 so that is a gain of 9# in just over 2 weeks!! I am back down to 190.5 this morning but I have given up the idea that it is water weight, I sure didn't think I was taking in that many calories but I did not track them either. I have the RNY and I am one of the "lucky" ones, I can eat most anything in moderation without dumping now that I am just over a year out.
Over the holidays, I would have a cookie or two with a meal and I treated myself to a new espresso machine and coffee grinder for Christmas so I have been having more milk than I have been used to, more liquid calories to be sure. I also have not been on my normal workout schedule either so that had an effect I am sure.
For the last 2 days though I have been more careful about what I am eating and as I said, I am down 2# since my "high" over the holidays. I am back to my regular work schedule now and there is less of a temptation to eat (I spent a lot of time in front of the TV over the holidays) and one of my old habits was to eat while watching. If I eat very slowly, I will not fill up my pouch and thus can eat nearly non-stop.
I still hold the 1/2 hour between eating and drinking rule firm and that has helped a little bit in curbing eating while watching TV. I am also starting to drink more water instead of coffee (decaf) and less Caps and Lattie's so the milk intake is down (though it is only 2 % milk)
Yep, time to get back on the horse and start riding again!
On another note though, I had a steady weight of 190# for over 6 weeks (+ or - 2#) and that is while I was on a normal schedule and workout, so I do think that this is the weight my body wants to be at.
