Now on the loser's bench
Hi guys,
I'm not truly a newbie. I've been mostly a lurker here but I appreciate the ability to read everybody's posts and get good information that may not otherwise be out there. I had my RNY on Monday, December 17th. I weighed 385 before the surgery, 377 on the day of the surgery (thanks to that wonderful experience of having my guts "cleaned out"), and now I'm at 350. Oh and I'm 5'10". So far so good. Recovering fairly well and working the system. Just wanted to check in and say hello. Hope everyone has a great New Years. MLF

Hey MLF, welcome to the other side, sounds like your doing great so far, keep up the good work. The successful ones are the ones that follow the system. Seems you and I have communicated before. Bill the Cat is my all time favorite comic character. Maybe it was someone else.
Anyway, Happy New Year and take care of yourself. And always feel free to ask if you have any questions. Nothing is taboo here, and there is always someone who has experienced anything that you could experience.

MLF, Sounds like you are off to a good start. My Starting weight was 385 the day of surgery. Keep up the good work. Odds are, You’ll likely leave ’08 and start your ’09 Half the size you are today. Best Wishes- Dx
