The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
December 30th!
Where did this year go?
Congratulations and Welcome to our New Guys.
For those of you headed in next week--Have the Greatest!
For those of you just home—
"Keep Sippin' tha****er, and Walkin' Bunches"- Hang in there,
And all of you "Livin' on Liquid only Pre-Op Diets!! Same thoughts-
It Does Get Easier/Different, Each Week!
... just hitting your first stall?
It happenes to many....
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact
that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!
Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!
But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------
Hop your Azz up on the Scales!
How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?
And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?
My Starting Weight? – 385 +
All Time Low – 179
Me?-
183.5 Saturday Morning Weight....
So, What about YOU?
Keep It Up!!!
Best Wishes-

Morning boys, having trouble sleeping lately, thus my 2 AM post. I should just copy and paste the stats, havent really changed much in 8 months:
2 weeks pre-op - 232 pounds
Surgery day (4/10/06) - 417
12 months post-op - 180
Today (and everyday) - 185 +/-
Good luck to everybody and Happy New Year. Maybe I'll head to the beach in a few hours, watch the sun rise, go for a swim. We have warnings on our beaches, Portugese Man-O-Wars are visiting the Palm Beaches, Ft.Lauderdale and Miami. Dont want to tangle with one of them.

Since my surgery on 12/20:
Highest Ever: 498 in 2003.
Average, past few years: 380-400.
Weight at Consult: 432 on 05/27/07
Pre-Surgical Weigh-In: 414 on 12/20/07
Post-Surgical High in Hospital: 431 on 12/22/07
Today's Weight: 399 on 12/30/07 -- 32 lb gross weight loss/ 15 pound net weight loss.
I blew up like a balloon from all of the fluids they were pumping into me at the hospital, then took it all off and then some in the last week. However, I realize I'm not going to lose 4 lbs a day on an ongoing basis, but it sure is fun while it lasts. If I could maintain this rate, I'd reach goal some time in february. In a perfect world ....
