Being pre-op my resolutions are to have the surgury in 2008 the sooner the better.  But in addition to that, I just got Christmas presents from Casual Male Big & Tall and King Size Men.  I want to be able to shop for clothes at Sears and JCPenny after this year.  No more Big & Tall catalogs for me.  I just want to get down to a normal size and not have to buy FAT clothes anymore.

I accomplished a lot, weight-wise, in 2007.  I quit the BIG & TALL places and started the regulatr stores.  I reached the CENTURY WEIGHT LOSS CLUB.  Etc. So in 2008 my resolutions are more toward personal growth. Wishing you luck, buddy!

All you guys who have lost the weight are my inspiration.  I am so happy for you and at the same time know there is hope for me.  Even when I explained to my family about having this surgury and they all look at me sideways and don't get it, I know there are those of you who do.

I'm glad you are using my success, and the success of others, as an inspiration.   You will be a loser, the good kind, soon!

My resolution doesn't have anything to do with my WLS. I think I'm doing pretty good on that front. My resolution is to spend more time with my grandparents. My Dad's mother passed away recently and I never visited her as much as I should have. Seeing my Mom's parents over Christmas reminded me how much seeing their grandkids means to them and how much of a schmuck I am for not visiting them more often.

here's something i learned that blew me away. i got down to a 32" waist and small shirts. i was a 2xl and a 52" waist. so when i go shopping all i see are large sizes and up! even in coats. it's either america is getting bigger and that's the trend for stores to buy in bigger sizes or the smaller is gone by the time i get there. i don't know except when i was big i hated clothes shopping because they didn't have the big stuff. now, it's all i see. so i think i might have answered my question but i'm not totally sure. it's very hard for me to find smaller stuff in the stores. trust me, you'll be shopping in smaller sizes in no time and can say good bye to omar's tent shop. i hated the variety, if there was any, of the big stuff. especially since i'm not tall. it was hard to get nice stuff. boy are you in for a treat when you lose. you can pick off the rack anywhere, anytime and enjoy the latest fashions. it still wigs me out! carbonblob

As crazy as this sounds, you will jump through hoops once you can get undies at Target - a 4 pack for 9.99 instead of $19 for 2 at Casual Male!!!!
I can tell you that even though I still buy clothes at the big sections of stores, it is now at Dillard's or Macy's. Its so fun to shop now. I love geting a Polo shirt, 2xl, at Dillard's for less that the George Foreman shirts at Casual Male.

Keep up the good work...
