Other than bread being an issue, I am having problems eating banana and applesauce.  Has anyone else had these issues?

yes to banana. Yes to applesauce depending on what I'm eating wiht it. Banana, I have to chew chew chew and small bites. Half a banana is best for me. Applesauce can be hard for me if earlier in the day and chunky.

It is so weird...they are soft foods!!!!  I can eat steak and chicken just fine-but these items....WTH?

interesting. maybe you're chewing the heck out of the steak and not the banana. Or it could be the time of day. My band opens more in the evening. Actually I think its that the stomach swells while we sleep and then goes down during the day.

I have tried the Applesauce a few different times.  The first spoonful is painful.  I miss it as a food option, but can live without.

My first question is you said spoonful? Are you using a child size spoon?

That's great, but too bad about the applesauce. Try a different brand that may not be so chunky.

Good luck.

I can eat half of a banana or 3 slices of an apple.  After that I'm full.  I am the same way with raw carrots, canteloupe, stawberries, blueberries....so on.  I was told it's because they are fiber rich and we fill up fast on fiber.

I have trouble with Bananas, too. How funny. Maybe because it's really really hard to take a pea sized bite of a banana, not sure. LOL
