Thinking of getting an unfill.. i am so tired of getting stuck all the time..It is an every meal thing, no matter how much I chew, unless it is soft or liquid... I had 4cc in a 10 cc band in March 2009..In June of 2011 i got .6cc and I had no problems until about 5 months ago..now i get stuck everytime... I can't believe everything changed so long after the fill and that little bit (.6cc) could cause all this trouble..and to top it off I gained 9 pounds since the (.6cc) fill.. I am miserable and hate to eat.. Anyone else have trouble months out after a little fill??  Is it me or the fill???     I had to pay $200.00 for that little fill and I will have to pay $200.00 to take it out...:(       "Lucky"

If it were me , I would get a slight un fill. I have had a fill and then had trouble months later. I have also had a complete unfill because I was tired of going back and forth due to my band tightening up. If you are unable to eat in the morning and getting stuck "I "feel thats too tight. Hope you get relief soon.

I have been like that, more than once. I always think "should I just wait and see?" but I'm always glad I did get some out, after. You want to be able to eat solid proteins and not hate eating. Good luck!

Mari  Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!

Since you're getting stuck so frequently I would say do at least a partial unfill. This has happened to a lot of bandsters when they get tight a considerable length of time after a fill.

There have been one or two incidences over the past yr. or so when I got too tight for a few days. Thought I might have to have an partial unfil, but a few days on liquids and mushies and then it was fine.

Then of course there are the very common "tight for no reason whatsoever" incidents that just occur from out of nowhere!

5 months is way too long to go being tight. Please get that checked!

 Lucky,
Been there. I got a slight unfill and it made all the difference.
I know it's expensive but you need to feel better and not throw up cause if it hurts the band or your esophugus it will cost more in many ways.
Good Luck

I would ask if you can get maybe  a.3cc unfill. Ask if you aren't better within two weeks if you can come back without paying again.

I have had the same problem and the Dr told me I am probably one of the people that is not able to tolerate fills.  I just had a 2.2cc fill that had to be removed because I got so sick now the Dr is telling me they do not want to do any more fills.   Good Luck  sorry you are going through these problems :(

That's why I had mine emptied finally because I'd had 2 partial unfills long after my last fill. Now that I'm empty I can finally eat healthy again.

Lucky, I just had my second small fill this morning after 7 months of no adjustments. I went through six months prior to that of fill/unfilll/fill/unfill/fill/unfill and so on. I had awful reflux issues and swelling and very low mobility through the band. In those seven months of being unfilled, I did gain back 20 lbs and am now working on getting those back off, but I honestly needed that time for the band to settle back down, swelling to go down and for everything to just calm down. If I had been more proactive and listened to what my body was telling me, I would not have gone through so much pain and turmoil and would have healed a whole lot faster than I did. I also believe I would not have had the opportunity to pack on 20 more lbs. So, take my story into account and go have some fluid taken out. Be good to yourself.
