Tummy Tuck on Tuesday
I know I'm not so frequent on here these days but that's cause I'm just busy living life (95 lbs lighter!)
I've been maintaining for a year now at 180 and I don't think it's realistic for me to restrict my eating or increase my exercise any more so I'm moving forward with getting rid of this pesky belly that's plagued me my whole life.
Mostly just wanted to tell those of you who know or care and also ask for some positive energy, healing vibes, and all that "woo woo" stuff. Or feel free to pray for me if that's more your style. I am hoping for great asthetic results, no complications, and as pain free of a recovery as possible. Either way, I know it'll be worth it to see all the hard work pay off in a way it never would without some surgical intervention.
Watch out for some major before/after pics in the future :)
Love to all!!

I had a tummy tuck back in Dec. Thrilled with the results. I reacted well to the anesthesia and was relativly pain free. I have a high pain tolerance in general. I did have a complication, lots of fluid retention. The surgeon had to open me back up- but even that wasn't too big of a deal. I'd go through it all again in a heartbeat.
Ellen,
You're in my prayers for a non-eventful surgery and speedy recovery! I'm so happy for you that you've decided to take this big step. Yes, please send lots of before and after pics! I hope to follow in your footsteps one of these days!
Are you having a total lower body lift or just the tummy tuck?

Thanks Lisa :)
I am only doing a tummy tuck, had my consult today and we discussed the lower body lift but he said I just didn't need it (whew!!) But I did opt to add in some "chest skin excision" which will basically eliminate my side boobs! yay!
I hope you get to follow soon, I am hoping this really changes my life for the better. I'll let you all know for sure!

Ellen ---
I added you to my prayer list.
I can't wait to hear about your experience --- I have a consult for a TT later this month.
I had a brachioplasty and breast lift last November -- and have my final follow-up with the PS, so am going to get the consult for the tummy.
I am mostly bothered by the 'flab above my belly button' ---- don't have much of a panni -- but will wait and see what he has to say.,
Best of luck to you --- keep us posted!

I made it through fine! My procedure was 8 hours long, whew! I had my TT, an umbilical hernia repair, and my surgeon suggested excising some skin from the side of my chest, so I no longer have side boobs!
Today is my 3rd day post op and I am feeling great. Had a follow up visit, everything is healing great. And I'm walking around and getting up and down very well. Hardly any pain. I have to say, all things considered this is going a lot better than I thought it would.
Just wanted to update everyone. Hugs!
