um... little creepy

I know once some of these people lose a lot of weight they "get busy living" and all that jazz, but does anyone else find it creepy when some of these people post "going in for surgery in [ insert number ] days! will post after" and that's the last thing they ever post?! Geez! I know THAT many people are not flat lining during the surgery. Are they just wanting the hand holding before the surgery and then they have the most wonderfully perfect surgical experience ever so they don't feel the need to talk about it or share anything after wards? What's the deal??
