My appeal was denied after what I thought was the greatest appeal letter of all time. I told all, literally. They say that I did'nt meet the 6 month diet. I really made a lot of noise. Someone called me from Cigna and they want me to speak with the Customer Advocacy. Who are they?and what am I to say to them?

Speak with them. Get the full name, title and record everything that they say to you because as you will see the stories will change. Hear them out and see what can be done. Get anything they require in writing though, that's for sure. GOod luck. Gary www.obesitylawyers.com

That dreaded word "DIET" Like we have not dieted all our lives. GIVE ME A BREAK!! Do you hear insurance companies telling someone with blocked Arteries. Let's try that 6 month diet and then we shall give you the go a head on surgery. Oh don't mind that chest pain Mr. Smith, you can deal with it until your 6 months of dieting is up. It's not going to kill you. Just call your PCP and he/she can give you a prescription for that pain. While obese people suffer through yet another failed diet our medical conditions are getting worse. I know mine did and there was know reason for me to suffer like this with joint pain and vascular problems. There was no reason for me to become border line diabetic. I understand that the insurance companies don't want to pay for every obese person but the ones that really need it that are suffering from medical problems should be allowed to have it ASAP. Donna

Customer Advocacy is a poor attempt at Public Relations. They want you to believe they are really trying to help you! If you believe that, I have some swamp land....
