Ok. I've been approved. What should I expect to pay out of pocker?

I have BCBS of MN.  They will pay 80%....What should I expect to pay out of pocket?  I'm having the lap RNY.

It depends on your policy.  Mine also is 80% but up to my maximum out of pocket, which is $1,500 so I will never pay more than $1500. 

I think I remember that from my policy too.  $1500. I can handle that.

keep in mind, you may have already paid some of the $1500 coinsurance to other providers during the benefit year, so you will probably pay them less.  If they ask for payment prior to surgery, make sure they check your policy so they don't collect any more than they have to. Getting $$ back from doctors isn't very easy.
