Hi,
My insurance requires that I have Co-morbid conditions in order for them to approve surgery, even though I have a BMI of 48.
I am desperate to have this surgery so I can get my life back.
Does anyone have any ideas???

are you sure you don't have any co-morbid conditions? Here is the list I was given by a surgeon of conditions that obese people may have ....some of them surprised me.

diabetes
high blood pressure
high cholesterol
sleep apnea
joint pain
heart disease
acid reflux
liver dysfunction
depression
urinary incontinence
gallbladder disease
headaches/migraines
cancer
stroke
anxiety
lack of self esteem
varicose veins in legs
restless leg syndrome
decreasing thyroid function

I hope that helps. good luck

I would have a sleep study done.  I just did and found out I had sleep apnea and had no idea.  I just feel tired a lot.

I agree with getting a sleep study and also an ultrasound of your liver and gallbladder. You may have fatty liver disease or gallbladder disease.
