Hi, jude here, lesbian from Boston.
Just introducing myself as a post-op bandster .
Banded in Oct. 07. 5 fills later and no weight loss/no restriction.
Made my decision to go for the bypass and am currently awaiting a date from Mass. General Hospital.
I left the band M.D. and went to a new practice.
now band has to come out at bypass surgery time...anyone here have that issue?
How did it go?

Hi Jude!  Welcome to the boards!  I'm afraid I have no advice for you on this particular subject, but I'm sure someone on here will have some sort of resource they can help you out with.

Good to have a Bostonian on here!  I went to UMass Amherst, and spent a lot of time in Boston.  Loved the place, loved the people, miss it sorely now that I'm in California.

Are you nuckin futs???? I have been to LA during this time of the year. It's warm! Rainy, but warm. It's cold here (two hours from Boston, less than 10 minutes from Mass) and grey and just blech! Can you tell I hate winter and am tired of it?

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

Hi! i went to U-Mass Boston at the downtown campus in the '80s but I spent many years out in W-Mass with my lesbian community in Greenfield/Amherst/Montague/Noho and have happy memories of those exciting times. I never lived out there but trekkked out from Cape Cod to hang with my buds.

I love California especially the Bay Area of course and the northern coastal area..

thanks for the welcome...

Hey, you are close!!

I had my bypass at Lowell General ...and know of a couple patients that had both surgeries. I didn't have that done but I wish you luck and welcome to this board!

Hi Jude:

I went straight for the RNY, but I have heard of people having revisions or other surgeries.

Good luck and WELCOME!
