Ummm...a few things will help-MOISTURE WICKING SOCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Coolmax socks at Target are nice and cheap. COTTON SOCKS ARE EVIL! 2. Shoes that fit properly. 3. You might want to use a product like aquaphor or bodyglide that will help with blisters. I use it on my feet and all over my body when I do my long runs. (We are doing 18 miles next week....YIKES!!!) That's about the best advice I can give for PREVENTING blisters Sherry

well - I have to buy new shoes about every 6 weeks because I am so rough on my shoes and my workouts. It's time for a new pair - obviously.... I'll have to try the cool wik sox - I didn't know they made them in sox. My exercise clothes are the cool wik.....I guess you learn something new every day!!! I've heard of the body glide - but where do I get it? Since I'm going to be taking this class a bit more regularly.....I'll have to make the smarter choices. Next time maybe I won't have to take some days off by taking a bit of reventative action!!

Dee Dee-I sent you an email earlier. I was JUST thinking...I know you do a lot of high impact stuff. Do you take glucosamine? I started taking it when I started running to help with my knees and to PREVENT problems. I found a liquid one at COSTCO. I don't know if you take it already or thought of taking it, but for people like us-or anyone involved with sports or bad joints, it is something to think about it Sherry

I did get your e-mail earlier and am going to look more into the information you gave me. My weight trainer has said I should take the glucosamine - but to make sure I check with my surgeon before I do just to make sure it won't harm with any thing from the surgery. I know others that have taken it (from the body building board here) and said it's a natural helper for Arthritis and with re-building joint issues and keeping the tendons healthy after a strenuous work out. I haven't tried it - but if you are taking it without problems and there are others that are taking it that I've heard of I don't think I'd have a problem with it. I know I have Arthritis in my knee - so it could only help that situation. You can e-mail me the answer to this - but how much did you pay for the liquid form at costco and have you compared it to the powder forms? Also have you notice a difference when you take it? (direct e-mail is [email protected] so you don't have to worry about me getting it ) I know you said you're preparing for another upcoming marathon......I'm starting the prep for running my first one in about 5 months (I'm hoping I have enough time to prep for it cause I'm not a runner. Thankfully it's only a 5k.) Thanks for your info.....any information you want to share with me FEEL FREE to - I'm always open to help!!!! Dee Dee
