Prayers Needed

I am not very good with death and I know that people leave this earth for a reason, god has taken another ANGEL from Iraq, this time it's in my family. DH's 1st cousin was killed, we recieved the news today and I am crying as I type this because he was indeed an ANGEL. His name is Thomas Strickland, he is and was one of the sweetest men you could come across, he loved kids, was a real family guy and love to serve his country. I don't know the Details yet, I j ust know that when Aunt Patti returned home this morning that 2 soldiers were at her door, I know I say that "if it's your time to go, he will take you home", but now I am beating myself up as to why was he taken so early as he was only 26-28 yrs old. I remember we had a family/ Thomas going away dinner at the end/ first of the year and Thomas and I were discussing him leaving and also another friend of mine that would be accompanying him. We are going to miss such a great man. He was single with no children. PLEASE put our family in your prayers as we go through this difficult time in our lives. Hugs, Melissa

Melissa, as I read you post I have goose bumps and tears....My deepest condolences and sympathy to your family, and especially to Thomas's mother and father....OMG ..these things shouldn't happen, and yet they do.....Noone and nothing can justify it to me really... this is a kind of pain that time supposed to heal, and I hope it does... but I know it's ver-very hard....I'm filled with tears...love, Rita

Dear Melissa, I am praying for you and your family during this time of great sorrow. May you and all of Thomas's family and loved ones dwell in the shelter of the LORD's wing during this difficult time. Your brave Thomas gave the best...his all. Hi Melissa, I am so sorry that you and your family are going thru this. My prayers and thoughts are with you and the family. But it hits to close to home. My son is leaving any day now for Iraq. Melissa, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope that you all will be blessed with whatever is needed. It never makes since when we lose someone we love especially someone so young and words themselves cannot heal the wounds. I am sorry, I too have someone in my family in Iraq and my 19 step son is currently in the Air Force tech school so all I can do is pray and thank each one that serves our country for they truly are my heros...
