A mini dream came true....

I finally had a mini-dream of mine come true.... ..... I have been an Atlanta Braves fan for about 9 years, and have lived in Georgia for about 5 now... and have never been to a game at Turner Field... My previous weight kept me from accepting the previous invitations and opportunities I have had ... I finally accepted an invitation, and just prayed that I would not be miserable in those little tiny seats they have... I fit!! .... it was kinda snug, but not bad at all! I was totally comfortable... even though I got a sunburn on my knees

I have lost 8 belt sizes in the last few months so I figured "give 'er a try" .... I finally got to see just how fast Rafael Furcal really is when he hit a double and easliy made triple out of it using just his speed ... I could hear the loud Thwaaack! of the fastball hitting the catchers glove... I was amazed how effortlessly these guys can throw a ball so far... I got to see what a "wave" looks like! I ate nachos, sang "Take me out to the ball game", stood up and screamed "YEA!!" when Julio Franco hit a 2 run homer and Chipper Jones drove in a run with a timely double ... did the Tomahawk Chop and chanted "Ooooohhh ohh aaaiiiooohhh" with 35,000 other fans, and an endless number of other things that TV just never showed me... 50 years old and finally got to a ballgame... ain't life something?

Awwww marc that is awesome. I have never been to an actual ball game so i can only imagine what it is like in person vs. tv but i am so thrilled you got to live a mini dream like that. Good for you. This is only the begining of many milestones to come for ya.

Marc, good for you! I'm so happy for you. I have a question...what do you weigh now? I ask because I'm dying to go to a game too and don't know if I would fit or not. I'm down to 278 from 488 last year at surgery time. Thanks! Kelle

... LOL!! I am stuck at 334... been here forever... but I am still losing inches... thank God... or I would lose what little mind I have left

I am wearing a 44 waist now... was a 52... and the seats were tolerable... not so tight as to be unconfortable.... "snug" best describes it... I am not bruised or sore where the sides of the seat was against me... Hope that describes it OK...
